How old is your laptop? When I used to work over computers, laptops had a backup battery as well as a main battery and AC Adapter - could your backup battery be toast?
Did you hear a sound beeping. If you can hear a sound beeping it is a
RAM problem. But if there is no sound beeping that is a processor
problem. You can disassemble or remove the processor and clean make sure that the processor fan
is spinning so that it will control the temperature of the CPU to avoid
overheating.
when i power on my laptop the acer logo screen is displayed on screen then the computer start beeping and the laptop get struck.i replaced the ram but the same problem arise.I removed the ram but the laptop wont startup and no beeping sound. When beeping start the laptop cooling fan get stopped.
Hi there. It would help if you provided more info regarding your problem. The follwing would be good startpoints:
1. What was the last time you were able to do with the laptop?
2. Have you made changes [immediately] before the issue started happening?
3. How old is the PC?
4. What are its specifications (ie.CPU speed, memory type and size, OS, etc.)
5. Have you experienced this same problem before using the same computer, or on another computer?
Well, here's a shot in the dark. If the unit is, say more than 5 years old, it's probably a hardware defect. Meaning your unit's screen display data connection is already out of order. This usually happends to laptops with data connections too compactly embedded between the hinge of the laptop lid and chassis.
we have different sound we can hear in cases of hardware problem, once the video card has loose contact it also beep continously, a beep sound also occurs when the ram(memory card) loose contact, one beep sound when it boot clearly it proceeds as go signal going to operating system. if you are using an upgraded video card remove temporarily and use the on-board from your motherboard. in case that it won't boot and still you hear a beep, beep ,sound then, switch-off the power take out the memory card clean the contact points(bronze color) with pencil eraser, make sure that no remaining residues of eraser remained before you install to the slot. i hope that this solves your problem
could you check that the time is correct when you next boot up, as sometimes a beep on startup can indicate a cmos problem, as you may have a flat cmos battery on the motherboard, and the system will keep losing the saved settings.
