How do i adjust a jet bandsaw jwbs-9 blade tension

You should check your manual. There's a blade tension handle on my bandsaw, which is adjusted every time I need to change tension or change blade. There ways how to check the correct tension, you can pluck the blade like a string on a guitar and if you hear music not like sound, tension is good. Or you can follow the suggestion blade tension on your saw. or you may also use tension gauge.

Replace guide bearings on jwbs-18 saw

" That one will be a press fit onto that eccentric shaft. Small bearings like that are easy to drive off with a suitable punch or mandrel. Simply stand it up in the jaws of a vise so the jaw edges contact the outer rim of the bearing and use a hammer to drive it out. Put a washer or similar bit of metal between the shaft end and the punch to protect the face."
Make sure before you put the new bearing on that the shaft is clean and smooth.

I have a Jet 14" closed base band saw. I've been fighting to reduce upper housing vibration. The wheels are balanced and the pulleys are aligned. I've also replaced the standard belt with a linked belt. ...

If nothing is loose, and the blade tension is high enough, you might want to hang a couple of pounds of wieght on a stiff spring on it. It will be trial and error, but I would start with about 3 lbs and a spring about like a screen door spring or stiffer. Where to hang it from is a guess too.

Top wheel part broke off

I suspect the part you need is 150086 "Upper Wheel Shaft". You can confirm this by checking the exploded diagram for your bandsaw which can be downloaded at http://content.wmhtoolgroup.com/manuals/708115K_man.pdf.

See page 25 for exploded diagram showing wheel shafts, bearings, etc..

It might be worth checking with JET about warranty since I believe that band saw has a 5 year warranty. You can check here for a service center near you.
