RCA F27242GY TV when connected VCR does not recognize it

Hi

When our TV is connected to VCR it does not seem to recognise it, it is happening only for past few days. We took the VCR and tried it on another TV it works fine and the TV if it is connected to External Antenna it works fine. We are sure why it does not recognise the VCR only.

Could you help us with this problem

Are you connecting the VCR to the audio/video inputs to the TV? If so you need to switch the "input" for the TV to these jacks. There should be a button on the remote . Usually labeled "input"

1998 RCA TV Model F27242GY How do I connect a VCR/DVD player to this TV? Do I need to use a RF modulator or converter?

If this particular model does not have your typical RCA jacks in the front or back, Yes you will have to purchase an RF converter box. This is a common problem for the older conventional TV. Visit your local electronic store. Thanks for asking and show a few hands of support!

Turning rca tv to video

First did you try all the codes. Some codes do not activate that function to work with the TV. Second what type of TV is it . If it is a combination tv - vcr - dvd these are the hardest to get to work with a universal remote . good luck

Orion STV 2763 27in TV

Hi,

I am assuming that your TV has Video IN source selection.

You need to use the Video/Audio OUTput of the VCR/CD and connect them to the Video/Audio INput of the TV. To do this you would have to use a 3-wire shielded cable with male RCA connectors color yellow, red & white.
c296912.jpg RCA male connectors, yellow is usually video, red/white is audio left/right.

599898c.jpg as shown OUT of VCR/CD to IN of TV.

Pnce done, play the VCR/CD with a good known CD or tape and set TV to Video mode.

Hope this be of help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

It looks like you will need to autoprogram the rest of the channels but do this you will need to have the TV connected to cable to store more than channel 3.
Good Luck.

RCA TV - Trying to hookup new dvd/vcr player to old tv with only antenna input

The input on your television is probably coaxial (for cable or an antenna) which means it needs an RF modulated signal. You can find one of those at your local department or electronics stores. Just look for an "RF Modulator" or "video-RF convertor." They're most commonly used to hook video games up to older televisions.

Now, if you've got an old VCR handy, that has an external input, it already has the RF modulator built-in.
