I fouled up the timing on my 1990 Subaru Legacy Wagon. Tried resetting it to the factory specs but it still wont start.

You have not set it to the factory spec, and its probably 180 degrees off. Rotate the crank to top dead center (the mark on the crank toothed pulley, align the cam timing marks, refit the belt THEN release the tensioner. Rotate the engine manually to verify that all the timing marks realign themselves.

I want to install windows 7 on this computer. How do I get to a legacy BIOS? I have a Gateway SX2110G Serial Number: 25203457292

The spec of your computer should be able to take Win 7 without the hassle of trying to find a "Legacy BIOS" the only way to find one of those is to find an older motherboard of the same spec and use the BIOS chip from there. Or Flash your BIOS with an older image.

Crainemy la690 amp is mounted between 2 15" BOSS speakers in a custom built box. it is hooked up with 8 guage wire system and has a 30W fuse. it is overheating really bad and don't know why? do you...

You need to look at your wiring of the speakers and the Ohm rating on your speakers.
Below are the specs of the amp. You have the Tri-Way amp and the switch that controls
which way it configures it's output is critical. If you are powering just 2 speakers you set the
the Tri-Way to bridge only. Problem is, I cant find a manual. Legacy's site ( Manual Coming Soon.I say call them and ask for a manual to be emailed to you or mailed.

Engine noise from Legacy 4000W 2 channel amp

    Hi Justin,
Send me the specs. on the speaker ( voice coil impedance), amp, power wire size, and box
As for engine noise ( alternator whine) 99.9 times out of a hundred it's caused by what's called a ground loop, That will take a little trouble shooting on your part. It's no big deal. It will be a step by step process. All you need is two alligator clips or a old RCA cable.and a couple feet of wire. I'll try to get to it this evening,
Oh, and you will have to pull the head unit out of the dash... P

    I have a 4 channel amp

This amp will not give you 1000 watts of real power. From the specs I've found, it can produce 55w RMS x 4. Bridged, that would be 110w RMS x 2. The most you could get into a dual voice coil woofer would be ~220w RMS.

    Compatible amp for subs

hi there. yes it should work providing you have the correct wiring it for it, if you buy the LV 416 enquire about a wiring kit to fit, most will. theyre normally around 20pounds. most amps will be compatible with most subs. i run both my 12inch 1000w off one 1200amp at half power, they kick lovely and i have no problems.
