GE model WSXH208F1WW leaks from gap between bottom of door & gasket. Door drags on bottom when you close it. If you push in on bottom of door, it makes contact with seal & stops leaking.

Could it be door hinge or door lock striker 2 pronged plastic part on door that inserts into double cylinder lock receptacle or ?

It may be the hinge. Some models can reverse the door swing. Check your manual. If you are able, switch the swing of the door. this may help with the miss aligned door. Good luck!

Yes all that you mentioned is the probable cause of the leak.

GE front loader leaking new door hinge on left side... It is not down spout but that the gasket didn't contact door on that side allowing leak door will push .5 -1 inch on hinge side. M#Wbvh6240fww

Recheck the door hinge install. Sound like the hinge is not installed properly leaving a gap on the hinge side. There are sometimes notches or hooks on the hinges that need to be in holes or cutouts on the washer body for proper fit. if the hinge is not in the holes right it will stick out from the body and leak.

Kenmore front load washer door won't latch lock light on

On some Kenmore front load models, if the black gasket around the door opening is unseated (for example, because you drag some heavy wet laundry over it) the door will not engage the lock and stay closed. This is a feature to prevent the washer from leaking when the gasket is not sealed. To fix it, simply reseat the gasket and the door will close and lock.

Dishwasher leaks from the bottom of the door

Hi, if it is leaking around/under the door, it must be the seal around the door. Check to see if the seal needs to be pushed in somewhere or is damaged..
Try running the cycle with no dishes in the washer and see if it leaks, it sounds like a gasket in the door to me and you can also check hose by removing the front panel on floor and check there....

Inspect the door gasket. As it ages, the gasket can crack or become hard, preventing it from sealing completely.
If the gasket appears solid, adjust the door latch so the door seals tightly. Loosen the screw that holds the door latch to the cabinet. Push the latch in slightly and re tighten the screw. Test the door and readjust the latch if necessary.
Replace the gasket if water continues to leak after you've tightened the latch. Most gaskets are held by compression in a groove on the door or on the dishwasher cabinet.

Hello, I have a GE Prolife side by side refrigerator PSF26PGSA BB and I notice that the refrigerator side has ice build up on the back wall of it in the inside. Can you please help, could it be the...

Where exactly on the back wall of the fresh food compartment(refrigerator) is this ice build up? If its building up in the air vents, that usually indicates a warm air leak, and this additional warm air is creating condensation, read ice, where it meets the colder air. There is no defrost heater or sensor in the refrigerator, all the cooling components that need to be inside the cabinet are located in the freezer. To check for warm air leaks, check to see that your light switch turns the light(s) off, check that the door actuates the switch when its closed, you will have to close door and squeeze part of the gasket to see if the light stays on. Furthermore, check the door gasket itself, make sure there are no gaps, rips or other malformations. Check that the bottom part of the gasket is not sagging, or the hinge side corners are not bunched up, or stretched out from the corners. Also, let the door close by itself like normal, and check the lower portion of the non hinge side of the gasket, if there is a gap here, further check for scratches on the bottom inside liner, not the door, inside the bottom of the fresh food compartment. If there are scratches here, this indicates the door is rubbing on the bottom because its too low, indicating a problem in the lower door hinge area. You dont mention any refrigerator freezer temperature problems, so it does not sound like a defrost problem or an issue with an evaporator fan motor failure.

Our side by side freezer door opens slightly

That is a common occurrance for side by side refrigerators. Closing the fresh food door is like having your car windows closed and closing the door. You can feel the air pressure on your ears. In the refrigerator, the air passes through the duct and into the freezer pushing the door open. The magnet on the door gasket should keep it closed. But it may be the freezer door needs the hinges adjusted to the door seats better when closed. Take the plastic cover off the top hinge and you can loosen the screws (don't take them out) and adjust the door slightly (so it looks even between both doors) and tighten the screws up. The top of the door should be level with the top of the unit, and the gap between the doors even the whole way down.

Hi I have a GE side by side and the frig door is not closing / sealing properly. Any ideas? John

close the door and test for drag on all sides. you may need to realign the door hinge adjustment. Just check the clearence around the doors, make sure the doors don't drag. you may need to tweek the doors if they apear to be sprung. last thing is to check the magnet and make sure its strong enough to pull the door closed. I use a dollar bill and slide it up and down and all around the door seal. the westinghouse repair man showed me this and it stuck with me. well i hope i was of some help thank you sawdust46
