My stihl ms390 chainsaw starts and runs for around 20-30 seconds then stalls, i've taken off and cleaned the air filter and carburetor which both look fine, the diaphragm is intact too.

It is a fuel / air problem. Do you have a primer bulb, did you replace it and put it in the right way around arrow to the carb? It is a known issue. There are lots of help online and there are some videos below..

Your oil pump works with your clutch and crankshaft. Remove clutch and you will see the cover that hides the oiler. remove cover then oiler and replace with new
First, is it really hard to start cold? second, will it idle after it is started? finally, have the dealer do a pressure and leak test of the engine to look for air leaks
Try replacing the spark plug and fuel filter to start with. Need to ensure you have fuel and spark. We have a list of things to check as techs but if it has spark fuel and compression it should run albeit poorly. If no spark check the ground circuit and if thats good replace the ignition module. If you have spark check the carburetor. It will most likely require a kit and cleaning
-check and see if the air filter is clean. -check if you have your intake selected for summer or winter, you will find that on your air intake there will be a tab insert that has a sun or snow flake insure that this is in the proper spot. these two items list are usually the cause of what you described.
