How do I recharge freon on a toyotomi TID 1800 unit?

If the ac is toyotomi then the problem is in the pc board to indoor unit 100%.and the second solutions check the pressure of the freon to the oytdoor unit but propably is the pc board.

Check an error code displayed?
If unit stops immediately after you switch on, fan motor mechanism locked. Check motor and PCB.
If unit stops after few seconds, check coil and room air sensor and replace if it's defective.Helpful?

It is a 3400BTU unit--Checked from my own unit.

Hi!!

I would not worry about the R-22 gas part. First, you do not have to put gas in an A/C unless there is a leak. The A/C gas is not like propane that you have to keep refilling because it gets used up. A/C gas circulates in a closed system and years can pass before you may even need some. Take for example the R-12, it was fhased out in 1994 and it is still available (for technicians only) 16 yrs. later.

So if you like the unit and the $$, get it.

You probably have a dirty coil... this is the most common problem with inefficiently operating units.

do you change your filter or clean it often? how old is the unit? do you smoke inside that room? are there any animals that live in there? how clean is the room on a scale of 1 to 10.

anytime you smell gas turn off the gas at source quickly.
