Laserjet printer stuck initializing

* Check your warranty. Call for support.

*** Following is for information only.***
* Brand and model for specific solution.
* It's probably stuck in error mode. Looking for ink, cartridge level, ID of ink cartridge, communications issues, etc.
* Open your printer control panel on computer to monitor status.
* Stand alone wireless printers will cycle through it's checks and flash ready or error report (by flashing certain lights) you will need to check paperwork for error report.
* Note that with new models(especially cheap units) They tend to take a Long time to process prints and print out. Many render the document to a printer format then print. Copies have to render for each copy.
* I find it faster to render and print one original. Then use the printer's "scan" and "copy" mode as it will not use the render process. Scanning is faster and only done once per "Batch".

Ricoh c6501 sp error coad sc 925 solution

SC925 B Net File function error *GW The NetFile file management on the HDD cannot be used, or a NetFile management file is corrupted and operation cannot continue. The HDDs are defective and they cannot be debugged or partitioned, so the Scan Router functions (delivery of received faxes, document capture, etc.), Web services, and other network functions cannot be used.
HDD status codes are displayed below the SC code: • Refer to the four procedures below (Recovery from SC 925). Here is a list of HDD status codes:
Display Meaning (-1) HDD not connected (-2) HDD not ready (-3) No label (-4) Partition type incorrect (-5) Error returned during label read or check (-6) Error returned during label read or check (-7) "filesystem" repair failed (-8) "filesystem" mount failed (-9) Drive does not answer command (-10) Internal kernel error (-11) Size of drive is too small (-12) Specified partition does not exist (-13) Device file does not exist

Procedure 1
If the machine shows SC codes for HDD errors (SC860 to SC865) with SC 925, do the recovery procedures for SC860 to SC865.
Procedure 2
  1. If the machine does not show one of the five HDD errors (SC860 to SC865), turn the machine power off and on.
  2. If this is not the solution for the problem, then initialize the NetFile partition on the HDD with SP5832-11 (HDD Formatting - Ridoc I/F).
NetFiles: These are jobs printed from the document server using a PC and DeskTopBinder. Before you initialize the NetFile partition on the HDD, tell the customer:
    • Received faxes on the delivery server will be erased
    • All captured documents will be erased
    • DeskTopBinder/Print Job Manager/Desk Top Editor job history will be erased
    • Documents on the document server, and scanned documents, will not be erased.
    • The first time that the network gets access to the machine, the management information must be configured again (this will use a lot of time).
  3. Before you initialize the Netfile partition with SP5832-11, do these steps:
  4. Go into the User Tools mode and do "Delivery Settings" to print all received fax documents that are scheduled for delivery. Then erase them.
  5. In the User Tools mode, do Document Management> Batch Delete Transfer Documents.
  6. Do SP5832-11, then turn the machine power off and on.
Procedure 3
  1. If "Procedure 2" is not the solution for the problem, do SP5832-1 (HDD Formatting - All)
  2. Cycle the machine off/on.

My PIXMA MP500 won't print. All appears normal when I send a print command. THere are no error codes from either the MP500 or my laptop (Win7 Pro). My laptop indicates the printer is ready and when I...

Due to the fact that no error messages appear and the print job reaches the printer, I believe that the formatter board is faulty. If this is the case ( and it is 90% of the time ) the most economical thing to do is purchase another printer.

The red triangle light with the "!" in it keeps flashing. I've just printed some things off but now it's not printing. Need it to print obviously..

ATTENTION light(triangle): Indicates that the print-cartridge door is open, print cartridge is missing, and other errors.

If ATTENTION and READY light is blinking:

Printer initialization
The printer is initializing.
No action is necessary.

Cleaning mode
A cleaning page is printing.
Wait until the cleaning page has finished and the printer is in the Ready state.
This could take up to two minutes.

If ATTENTION and READY light is on:

Fatal error
Turn off the printer, and then unplug the printer power cord for 30 minutes.
Plug the printer power cord into the power outlet, and then turn the printer on.
If the error persists, replace the printer.

If ATTENTION light is blinking and READY light is off:

  1. Attention: door open, no print cartridge, or media jam
The printer is in an error state that requires operator intervention.
Check the following:
? The print cartridge door must be completely closed.
? The print cartridge is correctly installed.
? There is no media jam.

2. Out of memoryThe printer is out of memory.
The page you are printing might be too complex for the printer's memory capacity.
Try lowering the resolution.

34 short paper

The printer does not auto detect your paper size and so when your Legal size document was printed on Letter size paper, you get a 34 Short Paper message.

Error code 510

If the error code is actually 5100, this is how you fix it:

Open the paper output tray.
Lift the scanning unit (printer cover) completely. (The print head will move to the replacement position.)
Open the inner cover.
CAUTION:
a. Do not try to manually move or stop the Print Head Holder.
b. Do not touch any metal parts.

Press down on the ink tank until a click is heard, thereby making sure the ink tank is seated properly.
Note:
Make sure that the ink tank is inserted in the slot that corresponds to the ink tank's color.

Ensure that all the ink tanks are installed properly and the ink tank lamps light red
Note:
Ink Tank Lamp
You can check the status of each ink tank according to the way its lamp flashes.

- On: The printer is ready to print.
- Slow flashing (at about three second interval): Ink is low. Prepare a new ink tank.
- Fast flashing (at about one second interval): Ink tank is empty, or the printer is not ready due to an error.
- Off: An error has occurred and the printer is not ready to print.
Close the inner cover and the scanning unit (printer cover).
Note:
When closing the scanning unit (printer cover), be careful not to jam your finger.
When starting printing next time, the print head cleaning launches automatically.

If you haven't installed ink recently -- then you are out of ink and that is why you ink out light is flickering.

Hope this helps.
Good Luck.
