Tv/vcr shuts down after 5 secs.

There is likely an issue in either the primary or the secondary power supply that is causing the TV to shut down. Unless you or someone you know is good at repairing switching power supplies, there's not much you can do to save this unit.

Vcr stuck on eject and poiwers off right away

Chances are that something has become damaged inside the unit and as the unit can't get out the tape, powers off to stop any further damage. The only solution will be to remove the video by entering the unit. As this is a TV unit care should be taken of the high voltages connected with the TV part. And should only be undertaken by someone with experiance.

Symphonic sc 1304 combo vcr records double images

I would try to clean the heads. Before I do anything else. You can buy a good head cleaner at Wal-Mart! Good luck with this.

Do I need a dtv digital converter box for my Symphonic SC313D 13 inch tv?

Pretty much a hoax on those diverter boxes. People ran out and bought them thinking that won't have reception. I have many years in maintenance and several years in nursing homes with different tv's in every room. Not once have I needed a box to pick up channels with or without cable. I myself get 16 channels with rabbit ears and thats enough for me. And I do own a combo as well and it has simple antenna and does me just fine. Depending on your location, the old tv antennas we use to put on our houses...they work amazing! Might be able to snag one on a freecycle or craigslist site. Good luck! :)

DVD operation

scroll down on the channel button from channel 2. the different aux inputs should be there.there may also be a video/line in/source button on the front of the tv.if there isn't, you can buy a cheap universal remote for under $10 [even in some dollar stores for $1]

Power Shutting Off #2

The set will shut down with the deck removed. Replaced both end sensors and the LED between the reel and that should solve your problem.
