Question about Amazon Kindle Fire HD

What does it need on my Kindle Fire when it says my apps that says License Has Expire, app needs to be refreshed?

I also can't connect the Kindle to my WiFi. Every other device no problem.

You should uninstall the app and then re-install it. that should fix the license issue. Check you device settings to see if it needs to switch it sob be in discovery mode so your wi-fi can find it.

To get a password


To get your books you have to first register your Kindle to your Kindle account. You can do this using a laptop or desktop to log onto your account. Then you can register your device. Or, you can try registering your device in Settings on your device provided you are connected to WiFI or Whisperssynch aka 3G.

While connected to WiFI or Whispersynch then you have to touch *Cloud*, locate the books you want downloaded to your Kindle and touch them. They should start downloading to your device and be downloaded within minutes or less.

I can't get my new Kindle to accept any of the numbers I can find on my Livebox. Which string of numbers does it want, please?!


So livebox is some sort of internet provider? Is it WiFi? If so then the kindle would connect just like any other wifi device like a laptop or smartphone. You need the SSID of the wifi device and the password.

How to use a kindle


Go to the Kindle Support web page where you will find help information for Connecting with WiFi (Wireless networking) or WiFi Troubleshooting.

In essence, you turn the wireless connectivity on or off by using the Menu button on your Kindle then selecting the option to do this that is shown.

check to see if you have a button to allow wifi access on your router, if you press that button for 2 seconds it will allow your wireless device to connect

Usually the Kindle comes pre-registered to the name used for purchasing it.

However, to register to a different name, open http://www.kindle.com on a PC. Log in using your existing Amazon account or create a new one, following the directions on the web page.

If your Kindle was not registered yet, you can add your device by clicking on "Register a new Kindle" and enter your serial number.

If the device is registered already, it should show up in the list displayed.
