NO ITS NOT UR DOOR SWITCH IF IT WAS IT WOULDNT SPIN ON ANY CYCLE. I SUSPECT U HAVE A TIMER THAT IS STICKING AND THE POINTS HAVE BURNED OR SEIZED

There is a safety switch on the lid ... when it went out of balance perhaps the adjustment changed or it got damaged (loose wire etc.) BE SURE TO PULL THE PLUG BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY REPAIRS

Was the Clutch/One-way roller bearing changed out for dc/UC errors in your FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW?

If you start a Spin Only Cycle with an empty wash basket will the wash basket spin up CCW and complete the cycle? Lift the washer top from the base a few inches to observe the wash basket CCW rotation in spin cycle. If the clutch spring is broken or end pins of spring aren't seated the tumblers will rotate and the wash basket will rotate slowly CCW.


IF the wash basket won't spin up can you pull the front cover off and insure the motor will rotate the clutch pulley CCW in a Spin Only Cycle? Let’s try these few basic tests and get some feedback for troubleshooting.

sounds like the spin basket drive.. does it agitate ok? if yes get a new washer or change or get a repair man to change the spin basket drive.

This solution is 100% correct, change the : wax motor &control board.I'll be happy to guide you through this if you need me to.

You are having a door switch problem change it out and you will have a new washing machine.
