Whats the model and make of this thermostat. Just telling us its rounds doesnt help much. Is it a battery operated thermostsat, if so i would replace the batteries. Some round thermostat have an alarm indicating the timer has come to replace the air filters, the uv lamp, your smoke detector batteries, so on so forth

Its not my monitor its my modem, when i try to turn it on all it does is go beeeeep beeeeep beeeepan it wont do anything else? can you help?

The beeps are coming form your computer tower chassis. Your computer either wants you to remove and clean the contacts on the graphics card or it wants you to remove the RAM modules and clean the contacts. Install one at a time in alternating slots. To test if maybe one of the RAM modules is faulty.

See my published guide entitled My Computer is not turning on!!! Is it dead!!! No POST!!!

Take care!

Can you provide me the model number of the unit? The model number starts with 1FXX-XXX. So that i can verify if that thermostat is capable of creating a beeping sound.

Beeeeep beep beep sounds on start

The beep comes when the RAM is not detceted by the Mainboard during the system start up. It's usually accompanied by no display on the Monitor.

Open the Notebook and remove the RAM and place it back again and check if it work. you can even try by inserting the RAM in different slot too.

If the problem still persists, replace the RAM.

That's it.

I have an Acer Aspire (and thats as much as I know) that makes a constant beeping sound ... so fast that I cannot even try to detinguish individual beeps to count them. Sometimes this sound does not happen...

Cardinal Rule 1
Dont use ur expensive computer for Games, go to a galeriya
Cardinal Rule 2
Beeping while playing games is a part of the computer's operation...or it can be part of that game.

Some times ur accessories (like ur printer/USB device/mouse etc) is not connected properly...

if the sound is from the PC's speaker then it can be disabled but u will also not get the games sound.

but if it's from your PC's external speaker then u have to live with it or u can mute ur speakers.

Nothing put a beeping when power is turned on

When a beep sound occurs, it means that there is always something.
Go to this website and find out what your beep means.
http://www.computerhope.com/beep.htm

You will have to find out what manufacture your motherboard is from, and from there, you can see the list of errors from the beep sound that your computer is sending out.

Fridge wont defrost and the silver wire going to a round silver thing in the fridge is off

It sounds like your thermostat sensor is what you are referring to. It should run to a small 1 inch piece of alluminum that keeps an average temperature. That makes your refrigerator stay more constant. That would not cause your refrigerator to have a defrost problem.
The three main parts of the defrost system are the defrost heater, the defrost thermostat and the defrost timer. One ore more of these are almost always the problem.
Please send us more information and we can narrow it down. Good luck. [email protected]

Honeywell VisionPro TH8110R1008 controlling a Carrier FA4ANF018 electric furnace/AC. Heater won't turn on. Honeywell VisionPro TH8110R1008 controlling a Carrier FA4ANF018 electric furnace/AC. As best I can recollect, the sequence of events went like this: Furnace was working normally. Thermostat was set at 70. Turned temperature on thermostat down to 67 and left the apartment. Didn't notice if furnace was running or not at the time, nor if it was running and shut off when I lowered the temp. Came back an hour later. Furnace was running and temp was up to 72 degrees. Thermostat looked normal. No indication of low batteries. Tried turning the system off on the thermostat. Furnace continued to run. Nothing on the thermostat would affect the furnace. Eventually turned off the circuit breaker (for the apartment electrical, not the breaker on the furnace) to stop furnace. Waited. Turned breaker on. Furnace stayed off. Batteries failed in thermostat and screen went dark with barely readable failing battery message. Put in new batteries. Thermostat fired up but still wouldn't control the furnace. Switched to cooling. AC went on. Couldn't turn AC off. Had to turn breaker off again. Turned breaker on. Thermostat displayed "Wait" message when I tried turning on the furnace. Waited half an hour. Wait message disappeared. Still can't turn furnace on. Slid out lithium backup battery and slid back. Thermostat makes appropriate click sounds as if it is turning the furnace on or off, but furnace doesn't respond. Equipment Status screen shows furnace on or off depending on thermostat settings. Set thermostat to System Off. Checked breaker on side of furnace. Was off. Turned on. Turned temp up on thermostat. Thermostat clicked, but furnace did not go on.
