SOURCE: drain problem in GE WBSE2090A washer

hello, if you washer is not or isn't fully draining that sounds like something might be in the pump.Icheck for any hose blockage as well.If there is a bad smell that might be dirt or a peice of clothing or anything. so my suggestion is to check your drainage hose, the pump or maybe try even to syphan out the pump which means put the drainage hose in a bucket lower than the washer or your drainage is higher than the washer. good luck...

SOURCE: GE Washer fills but will not run through cycle

Sounds like a bad motor. It's likely shutting off from it's internal thermal switch. Try unplugging the motor's molex connector and replugging it, it could also be a loose connection.
Good luck.

My front end washer won't pump the water out and it smokes when it spins at the end of the cycle.

Sounds like it's a bad motor or the belt driving the tub is slipping.
If the motor is bad it will smell really bad. The belt slipping won't be as bad.
Have someone inspect both.
Hope this helps.

It's normal for some water to stand in bottom of outer tub. It shouldn't be visible in the inner tub though.

The washer is leaking from the bottom

Your center seal is going bad or you have a bad hose, leaking water pump, or a cracked tub but GE is notorious for there center tub seals to going bad I would recommend a qualified service technician come look at it to rule out which one it is if your centers tub seal is bad I would buy a new washer but sorry for the troubles.

There is water left under the tub after the wash is over. When I move the tub I can hear the water sloshing. How can I get rid of the water. It makes my towels smell like mildew.

If it is draining down and spinning the clothes dry then all of the water is draining out. There is only about a 1/2 in space under the tub. There is a balance ring around the top of the tube that holds water. That may be the sound you are hearing? Try washing a load without anything in it on hot and use a box of baking soda. See if that will help with the smell. My washer leaves a mildew smell sometimes. I started running an extra rinse cycle on it. And that helped. I think it was my water.

I have a top load GE model #WBB4500G, and our clothes comes out smelly. It is horrible. We are constantly having to rewash clothes, this is rediculous. I've heard of this problem with front loaders, but we...

You have an inner and an outer tub. The outer tub may be holding too much water. The smell may be the soured water in the outer tub. You should take the washer outside and drain it completely. Then replace the drain hose before you put it back inside. Hopefully, this will slove your problem.

Mildew in ge front load washer

Try two things: Add several cups bleach to the tub and run it a complete cycle. When not in use, leave the door open so it will air out.

Oil on floor under washer

Oil is generally not a good sign. It means that the tranny seal is blown OR it means that the tub seal is bad which allows water to enter the tranny (water is heavier than oil... if water gets into the tranny it will displace the oil and force the oil out)

This being a GE? I'd wager that a tranny job is in order. If the machine is less than 5 years old it's under warranty so you'd call GE at 1-800-GE CARES. If it's more than 5 years old? Your washer is no more than a boat anchor. Get a new washer, preferably a Whirlpool. The repair cost for a new tranny will out-weigh the value of the machine.

Hope this helps.

Odor when starting cycle

Check your water softener(If so equipped). This can cause foul odors in the water supply if not properly balanced or maintained. Good luck!
