Nosey new refrigerator has high pitch or low noise irritating

Based off the information you have provided your Frigidaire refrigerator is making high pitched noises after the door has been opened. Based off the information you have provided it sounds like you are hearing the compressor come on. In the newer, high-efficiency compressors they operate much faster than the older models and some may put out a high pitched hum or pulsating noise. I hope this helps. -Matt

High pitch noises are very difficult to isolate. Since you have replaced the refrigerator, I would look for something else in the immediate vicinity that might be generating the sound.

It's the rotors making the noise not the motors! I replaced the motor, still made noise, I took off rotor blade sanded it down around each blade, no more high pitched hum!

I have the same kind of fridge and it also makes this kind of noises, however, they are on the acceptable level. They sound more like a seal being happy with the new food. It is not all the time but sometimes. I think it is the contraction and expansion of the pipes that cause the noise and is not a sign of any problem. Of course all depends on the level of the noise you have...

I have the same problem and called Honda. One of their technicians said its related to transmission fluid and is considered normal, and there's nothing to fix. :(

Could you specify if noise is coming from : - The freezer - The outside back of the refrigerator - The bottom of the refrigerator
