I have a Galaxy G12-Y popcorn machine. Misbehaving. Using an 8 ounce premix bag (should be able to handle more, but using smaller). Anyhow, about half way through the popping cycle the stir rod stops. It appears the popcorn is so tight in the popper, that it just won't turn....can't event turn by hand. When it is finally done popping, when I tip to eject, it is so packed it won't come out...I have to use something to eject it.
We have tried smaller ammounts and it does the same.

Unplug the kettle and check voltage at the kettle reciprocal . If correct voltage is there with the kettle switch on put a ohm meter across the hot and neutral terminals of the kettle plug . If there is no continuity between them either a wire burned off in the kettle or the thermostat is bad. When they go out its usually open so no power will go thru it.
Try one ounce of oil, 1/2 teaspoon popcorn salt and 1/2 cup of popcorn and see how much it fills your machine and adjust quantities from there. This will usually fill a wok size bowl.

Flavocol is usually pretty good - use about 1/8 cup Flavocol for every 1/3 cup popcorn.
If it still isn't working out for you, try Cinemagic Popcorn packs - they give you yellow popcorn kernels and special yellow butter all in one-pack to give that yellow-popcorn look.
