I received this acer aspire laptop as a gift for my birthday, how can I register it? I have this laptop for a month now.

Facebook gives you options when it comes to displaying your birthday. You can elect to share only the month and day you were born, or also include the year. When your birthday rolls around, it shows up in the top right corner of your friends' homepages. While you cannot disable the alerts of your friends, you can control whether or not your friends are notified of your birthday. Make your birthday only visible to yourself to stop friends from getting an alert.

Click on the "Account" icon in the top right corner of any Facebook screen. Select "Privacy Settings" from the list that appears. Click on the blue "Customize Settings" link at the bottom of the "Sharing on Facebook" section. Scroll down to the "Birthday" line in the "Things I Share" section. Click on the gray icon next to "Birthday" that displays the current privacy setting by default, it is set to "Everyone." Choose "Customize" from the drop-down menu. Click on the downward arrow in the "Make This Visible to These People" line to bring up a menu. Select "Only Me" and then "Save Setting."

the shop probably already opened it and registered it, what kind of shop was it? i would contact the shop and asked them.

You need to contact Acer and explain the registration problem to them.

all u need to claim the gift for ur new acer laptop is that u can contact the shop from where u bought this laptop and alos u can go the acer website and email them for ur issue and they will definately get backk to u with ur free gift.....good luck.

well u should really contact the maker's tech support like DELL SUPPORT OR HP SUPPORT or watever ur laptop make is cuz if uve purchased it this year then it will in under warranty so y u wana pay to tech in the market.they'll ask alotta money.. u can tell the maker's tech support that u got it as gift and u dont have the neccessary papers.they'll certainly help u out with ur issue. because personally i feell that the lcd screen connector or the screen itslef has gone bad. and it can be replaced under warranty without any extra money u have to pay. os it would be FREE OF CHARGE.
