Agree with a small hole trick... but don't leave the drive ever empty. Use i.e. dummy CD media always. When you need it, just replace, spin your DVD, than put DUMMY back in the drive. Don't believe? Just try. :-)

Push a paper clip inside the hole in front off the drive to open it manually
Testimonial: "I used the paper clip and I'm keeping it handy for future use. Thanks again so much. "

there is a very small hole near the push button of your drive, put a pin into it and press it along with the push button

Hi,
The drives contain the spring like component that enables the drive to open manually and even through the click of the mouse by pressing the eject option.
There seems to be an hardware issue with the drive. I suggest you to contact the manufacturer if the drive is eligible for the free hardware warranty.

It could be that the drive is behind a plastic housing and the drive may have moved back just a little and the casing button is not making contact with the original CD drive button, you need to open the side and see if the drive has moved or the screws have slackened , re-seat the drive and see if the eject now works, if not then replace.
If you listen to Nirdesh Verma then you must have little pirate men running around in your ODD because you used a pirate cd and now they will not let you open your drive, never mind the fact that he has not read your question properly, what a numpty reply...

Did you ever get your CD player to open? I don't see the little hole next to eject door to reset/open CD player.
