Turn the unit off then push stop inside the door. The display will read DVD 1, DVD 2 or DVD 3. Hold the Remote in front of the unit and hold down ENTER on the remote and the # displayed in the window of the unit for 5 seconds. Turn the unit on and the remote should work. If you remove the batteries or they die for more then a month you may need to do this again.

Point the remote control at the camera in your cell phone. Press a button and see if you can see the LED flashing. If it doesn't the remote is history. If it does, then the sensor on the main board of the TV isn't working. You canbget parts here : TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

Remote RMT-D240A not working with RDR-VX525 DVD Player that it came with. Only get DVD Screen saying DVD 3, will not even turn ON/OFF.

You may have to reset the remote to the current command code. Here is the link for how to do that. http://community.sony.com/t5/Remote-Controls/RDR-VX525-Changed-to-DVD3-on-command-control-and-remote-won-t/td-p/158777

Remote control rmt b101a stopped working, changed batteries, same thing; did reset by pressing power, TV i/o and vol- simultaneously, still not working. Help!

Hi,

Make sure that the Remote is operating in a range of 3 to 10 feet away from the unit.
Point the Remote directly towards the Remote Sensor of the Device.
Remove any obstacles that may be in the path of Remote and the Sensor.
Make sure that no interference is blocking the Remote to operate normally. Do not expose directly to Sunlight, bright florescent lights etc.
Try resetting the Remote by removing the batteries from the Remote control, press every button twice, and then re-install the batteries after 1 minute.
Make sure that none of the buttons on the Remote control is jammed.
Install fresh alkaline batteries in the Remote, do not use rechargeable batteries.
Make sure that the batteries are inserted by matching the polarity (+ & -).
Try resetting the Blu-ray Disc Player with which you're using the Remote.
If the issue persists, after all the possible troubleshooting steps, service may be required.

Unable to change the DVD 1 Command Mode back to DVD 3 (DEFAULT) SETTING

Had the same problem when I changed the factory settings by mistake. There is no "cancel" button in the remote or the set. What worked for me was to follow the directions on P. 22 of the manual and change the remote settings to DVD 1. This is done by holding the "Enter" button and pressing number 1 on the keypad simultaneously for more than 5 seconds. Then, you go back to the "Settings" screen with the "Settings" button, change the control back to DVD 3, and reverse the setting in the remote by pressing "Enter" and the number 3 this time. Remember to hold them down more than 5 seconds. Good luck!
