Hello Micheal,

The F4 error code refers to a filling error on that dishwasher.

Did ya accidently turn off the water supply the otherday while clearing the drain on your disposer, the reason i ask that the not filling and the humming to me sounds as if the water valve is on and humming and calling for water yet it has no water coming to it. A humming sound on the water valve is normal its the sound of the soloniod that opens it to let the water flow..the reason ya dont hear it when the water is filling is because the sound of the flowing water muffles the hum.

Check that the water flow is good into the dishwasher and the line isnt perhaps pinched or kinked somehow

SOURCE: bosch dishwasher model shu43c05uc diagnostic code C1 at start then P0. what does this mean?

You seem to have inadvertently put it into the test sequence. Try pressing the two reset button simultaneously (usually the reset buttons are 1st and 3rd from left each with a dot underneath, if this does not work, press the button between the two resets (2nd button) P1 should come on then press the right reset button. The unit should run through a test cycle for approx 20mins and eventually reset the module, this is indicated by 0 in the display. Please repost if further assistance required.

How do I run a diagnostic test on the Bosch shu5315uc/u12? The cycle time of my dishwasher is at least 4-5 hours.

Long running time on a Bosch dishwasher is almost always a blown solder joint at the heater relay on the control board. You can resolder the joint, replace the relay or replace the control. Control board part number is 00266746.

How do i run a test / diagnostic mode for the bosch sge63e05uc (evolution series) dishwasher?

Are the instructions on how to run the diagnostic test listed in the manual? FYI, I couldn't run the test on my Bosch DW because it was just too broken. Over the years the dishwasher essentially fried its own circuit board with excessive heat, which I learned is a problem common to Bosch DW's. Bosch told me the lifespan of my model was 10 years; mine was 11 years old (but was repaired once or twice). I replaced it with a Miele; no problems yet after 4 1/2 months.

How to run self test on bosche dishwasher

Here is an excerpt from "Bosch Dishwasher Troublesoooting".

Running a Test Cycle
Bosch dishwashers have a test cycle which can be run as a troubleshooting measure. The method to run this test cycle is similar across the Bosch dishwasher range so if your dishwasher features seems different from those described below then try experimenting, as the process is fairly straight forward and will be very similar. Bosch dishwasher model numbers are usually found around the top or lip of the door. One of the most common differences between dishwasher models is simply the names of the buttons. For example in the first example below, POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH may be called WASH and ECO depending on your dishwasher model and the country you are in. The other key difference is whether your dishwasher has a display panel (which can display error codes) or not (in which case a program light will illuminate to tell you the fault.
To run the test cycle hold down the POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons. Whilst held down press the ON/OFF button. The lights above them should flash. Now you can check the status of each dishwasher program by pressing its button. Now you can run the full test cycle = Press the POWER SCRUB PLUS and REGULAR WASH buttons again. The dishwasher will start up and when the cycle has ended one, if you have no display panel on your dishwasher model the indicator lights will illuminate if a malfunction was detected as follows -
CLEAN - A temperature sensor fault. If this is the case then the test cycle will be very short as the dishwasher will terminate the test once it's been detected.
RINSE/DRY - A water sensor/filling fault. If this is the problem then the test cycle will not complete as the dishwasher cannot detect the right level of water, the dishwasher will just keep filling and draining again.
WASH - A heating fault. Check your heating element.
If you do have a display panel on your Bosch dishwasher then after the cycle is complete an error code will be shown if a fault has been detected. The error codes are as follows -
0 - No errors have been detected.
1 - A water sensor/filling fault.
2 - A heating fault.
4 - A water filling fault. This can also appear as F on the display during a normal cycle.
8 - A temperature sensor fault.
When troubleshooting your Bosch dishwasher, running the above test cycle is a good start in diagnosing the problem and should give you an idea of where the problem lies with your Bosch dishwasher and what fixes and repair are in order. Our general troubleshooting page will give you some ideas on other things to check on your dishwasher. Good luck!

How do you run the diagnostic on a bosch dishwasher model # SHE44C06Uc/22. it counts down to one on the timer and runs forever. can't find it model # diagnostics anywhere. thanks

Resoldering the relay, regardless of how proficient one is at soldering, will not be a long term solution. The melted/burned solder joint is a secondary result of the initial failure, which is the relay itself. There is a solution that is more permanent and less costly than replacing the control with a new one.
Do a search for Bosch 266746 control and you will locate someone who has studied the problem and found a safe, long term solution.
