Check your cables. It is possible one has become disconnected or damaged (from being crushed or twisted). Check with a different cable.

Someone would have to open the unit and see if fuse bad or even puffed up caps in the power supply for it.

Make sure cable to the computer is properly connected and also your PC is in normal condition.

Possible bad Monitor video cable.Or video device is bad.

Try unpluging the pc completly from the wall for 5 min then plug back in and restart.

Also check that connections are solid and tight on monitor video cable.

Try checking the cables and disconnect all cables from system and monitor and reconnect all of them.

And in case it does not work,Please change the cable coming from tower to the Monitor as it seems that it has gone bad.

Try it on another computer, if the problem is apparent on 2 different computers the monitor is defective.

If screen says "Signal cable not connected " all the time till power led switches to Amber chances are monitor is ok and problem is with graphic card or cpu.Connect to Known working CPU and confirm that monitor is the problem.
If same problem persists on another working cpu after changing signal cable,the interface board in the monitor could be defective.

Sounds like the HDMI port on the monitor has been shorted out.
There are very small fuses on the video board that can be changed, but they are fiddly and you may end up doing more harm then good if you are not sure what your doing.
The fuses are actually soldered to the board...it's not a case of pop one out and pop one in like the glass type.
