2001 tundra low oil pressure at idel engine warms up what does line on gauge repersent in lb how to fix or is it normal 90,000 miles obit always did since m

Well according to the owners manual, anything from low up to the last mark is normal. I think they mean anything from the low mark up half way is normal for idle.
If the gauge stays near L at idle and while driving, you could have low oil pressure or a gauge problem. A mechanic would check pressure with a mechanical gauge.
Normal for most engines is around 25-40 psi at idle and 30-60 psi when driving.

Where is the the thermostat on a 2.0 , 2000 vw beetle ? Thank you

First time you might check the thermostat operating.

Heed of antifreeze coolant temperature!!!

The thermostat location for 2000 VW Beetle 2.0L is on back of the alternator at the bottom side of the bracket.

IMPORTANT NOTE: It is NOT necessary to replace the alternator if you want to change the thermostat !!!

Thermostat checking:
1. Cold engine. Start up the engine and watch of the water temp indicator. After first value 60 Celsius Degree you still warm up the engine until the lifter (pointer) reach 80 C deg. (second mark after 60 C deg.). At this time you let engine running at idle speed and check with your hand the thermostat plastic housing and hose temperature in bottom left side of the engine. Heed of alternator driving belt and ventilator fan !!!
2. If the thermostat is good the hose must be cold until the water temp indicator reach almost 90 C deg.
3. The thermostat opening temperature is 87 C deg.
4. If the hose is already warm the thermostat is out of order.

Thermostat location, Part number: 050 121 113 C, in german - "Kuehlregle".

Remark: 87 ... 102 Celsius deg.
Price around $35:

2000 Grand Cherokee V8: Cold start Oil Pressure is good at 600 rpm. Gauge drops to 0 in 2/10 mile as rpm increases to 2000. Warning light and bell comes on. Gauge varies between 0 and 40 depending on...

Replace the oil pressure sending unit its giveing a false reading . The problem is when the engine is cold the oil pressure is low and it takes a little time to build up whem cranking the engine and that sends a signal to the computer PCM /VCM what ever but your 40 to 60 lbs oil pressure is graet its ideal .The unit switches when the oil pressure is high enough to trip the switch inside the sending unit and that is sent to the vehicle control module

Low oil pressure after engine warms up in 94 blazer with 4.3

I have a 99 blazer and ever since I have owned it, it reads lower in pressure when idling, but will go up too 40 while driving. This is normal for the vehicle. If the pressure gets real low, and stays low, it means its time for an oil change.

As long as the pressure goes up when you give it gas, it is fine.

I have oil pressure until i stop , then it drops to below 10 psi

Increase the viscocity of your oil. If you're using 10W30, go to 10W40. If you're using 10W40 switch to 20W50. Don't use single weight oil.

High R.P.M.s at 60 mph.

Thank you for allowing me to assist you!
I will bet that when your RPM issue happens, the temp gauge is reading low. The temp gauge should be at 1/2 at all times. What I believe is happening here is that the thermostat is sticking open, and, when the coolant drops below 172 degrees F, the OD solenoid is disengaged. This will def shoot up the RPMs. Drive the vehicle again, and note where the temp gauge is when the problem happens. If the gauge is indeed low, you will need to replace the thermostat. Additionally, a "low-coolant" condition can, at times, duplicate this condition, as the coolant temp sensor is not seeing the coolant rushing past it, and also could be the problem. Check both, and get back to me if you need additional info. I hope that this helps you eliminate you condition.

Water temparature gauge

The specific location of the sender is on back of cylinder-head near by vacuum-fuel double pump. There is an assurance clip and a rubber sealing O-ring. Heed of antifreeze solution temperature!!!
Before you try to change the sender you must be sure that the sender is out of order. First you must check the thermostat operating. The thermostat location is on back of alternator at the bottom side of the bracket. IMPORTANT: It is NOT necessary to replace the alternator if you want to change the thermostat !!!
Thermostat checking:
1. Cold engine. Start up the engine and watch of the water temp indicator. After first value 60 Celsius Degree you still warm up the engine until the lifter (pointer) reach 80 C deg. 3. The thermostat opening temperature is 87 C deg.
4. If the hose is already warm the thermostat is out of order.
5. If the thermostat and the temp sender are OK the last piece out of order will be the instrument cluster.

Oil gauge reading on my dash

Any where from a quarter to half way is fine. After this the oil presser is getting to high. be sure you run 10-30 in the winter and do a oil change in spring time to 10-40 . oil will thin in hot temp. thus using a thicker oil like 10-40 in the summer will help keep oil presser down .
