When I turn the TV on, blue vertical lines about three inches wide, that look like a bar code, appear across the entire top of the screen. Some of them will slowly start to extend down the screen. When I have a picture on the screen, the lines are still there and the picture color appears distorted as if the contrast is turned way up. About a month ago I attached a digital antenna converter through the coaxial (RF) input. Is this a hardware or software problem and is there any way I can re-set the screen?
G'Day!
Unfortunately, what you're describing is a repair
issue. You won't be able to address the problem with troubleshooting.
There is a part inside the TV that needs to be replaced. If you're
under warranty, this will cost you nothing. If you're not under
warranty the cost will likely be a minimum of $200 parts and labor.
However, be warned that the cost could be considerably higher.
