My Windows 10 pc will not recognise my Sony D.Sc. s70 camera.
I recently purchased a Sony D.Sc. s70 camera. The camera works fine but when I try to upload the pics onto my windows 10 o'clock the computer will not recognise the camera. I am using a sub lead to try and upload. Please advise

IF YOUR NOT GETTING POWER TO YOUR CAMERA YOUR PC WILL NOT RECOGNIZE YOUR CAMERA. BECAUSE IT IS NOT GETTING A SIGNAL. YOU MAY TRY TAKING OUT YOUR BATTERY FOR A FEW HOURS TO SEE IF YOU CAN RESET YOUR CAMERA. IF THIS DOSE NOT WORK YOU MAY TRY REPLACING BATTERY TO SEE IF THAT FIX THE PROBLEM
Do you have Windows 8 64bit? Do you have the latest version of iTunes 64bit installed? : http://www.filehippo.com/download_itunes_64/ Is the process started in Services (ipod helper/services process)? This may help: http://www.runscanner.net/lib/ipodservice.exe.html What software do you use for the Camera? Have you tried rebooting the Laptop? You may have to format the Thumb Drive that doesn't work, what is on it?
Use a card reader connect the memory card and see if it can be recognised. Then try some photo recovery software to rescue the files on your digital memory card, here are some for your options.
I have a digi8 DCR TRV140E - The USB does not recognise, windows does not recognise it and the only method that works to edit from the tapes recorded to pc is fire cable - try that folks at least it will hold you back from smashing the camera!!
I would look for a more recent driver on the Samsung support website specifically for Vista; it apparently does not have the right (or any) driver to permit it to work with your DVD camcorder.
I don't think any of your hardware, computer or camcorder is dysfunctional, Windows just has to know how to communicate with it.
What you might try first is to have the camcorder connected (USB I assume) and reboot your PC.
If Win can see it at all, you should get a screen message that it has found new hardware.
If it has some basic driver on hand, the message might state 'installing software for your device.'
your DVD drive should support UDF . try to install this software it should give your system the ability to deal with this cd {SwiftDisc.Burning.Wizard }
i advice you not to format the media from windows , use the tool in your camera
