Couple of other questions and some ideas.

Do you know what sort of breaker is getting taken out? Is it Earth Leakage, or Overcurrent? Earth leakage with a delayed onset would be really odd - while overcurrent breakers often have a slow-acting thermal element to protect against small ooverloads. In this case. it's not that the fault develops after a delay, it's just that the breaker leaves it a while before tripping.

A small overload when the machine is nominally off is quite a hazardous situation - it means that something somewhere in the system is likely to be getting very hot, and being allowed to get on with it for several minutes. This is a good way for house fires to start. The best way to test for this is to put a clamp meter (these are relatively cheap) round the live conductor (only) in the power lead, and see if you're drawing excess current at the end of the cycle. If you are, then it's just a matter of progressively disconnecting components within the machine until you find the culprit.

Ifyou're tripping an earth leakage breaker, then Dazmaraz's insulation tester is the only real way to go. Once again, get the problem to show on the tester, then progressively disconnect components until the problem disappears. Experience suggests that a proper insulation tester is much more likely to be successful than a multimeter (multimeters don't work at a high enough voltage to excite a lot of insulation breakdown type faults).

SOURCE: Zanussi ZWD1680W Front Load All-in-One... Problem:

With the symptoms you describe i would suspect a intermittent heater element fault as you are getting earth leakage current which is tripping the whole supply rather than a current overload which would just trip the socket circuit breaker. Get the heating element checked over first as this is the most likely cause.

you have a faulty brake motor. It pulls in and releases the brake. When pulled right it it contacts a switch which lets the other actions like washing and spinning to occur. $77 to $86 off ebay or appliance stores. turn off ac. remove back off machine. reach around left side of frame at the bottom of the tub and push the brake forward manually and let the little plastic retainer turn sideways and release the wire rope retainer that comes out of the brake motor. remove the power cable to the brake motor by pulling out the connector on the right side under the tub. remove the two 8mm screws retaining the brake motor and remove the brake motor. reverse procedure with new item.
enjoy uninterrupted washes!

How you doin'? please help me how to stop my washing machine to indicate soak model WA13FS2 Samsung?

I'm doing well, thank you! I'll be happy to assist you with stopping the soak mode indication on your Samsung washing machine model WA13FS2. Here are the steps you can follow:
  1. Press the "Power" button on your washing machine to turn it off and unplug it from the power source for safety.
  2. Wait for a few minutes to ensure that the washing machine completely powers down.
  3. Plug the washing machine back into the power source.
  4. Locate the "Soak" button on the control panel of your washing machine. It is usually labeled or represented by an icon.
  5. Press and hold the "Soak" button for a few seconds until the indicator light for soak mode turns off. This action should deactivate the soak mode.
  6. Release the "Soak" button.
  7. You can now select the desired wash cycle and settings for your laundry load.
If these steps do not work or if you are experiencing any other issues with your Samsung washing machine, it is recommended to consult the user manual specific to your model or contact Samsung's customer support for further assistance.

Washing machine will not start the cycle

Hello Teresa,

+What type of washing machine are we talking about here?

If its a newer electronic model... try unplugging the power cord for
a few minutes or consult your owners manual for a possible reset
feature.

If it is a older mechanical model then it's likely component failure.

I pressed the pause button to add a garment to my Whirlpool frontload washer. After doing so, I pressed the hold to start button, but the washer would not restart the cycle.

Switch the power off from the power outlet for a few minutes , then switch on and reset the wash cycle . Front loaders are not designed to add clothes mid wash.

How do I find the lid sensor switch on a Kenmore 500 washing machine

If the washing machine stops in the middle of the cycle then it is very unlikely the lid switch is involved. It could be a number of reasons.

Best to drain the washing machine and repeat the cycle a few times to check if it happens at the same point. Could be a problem with the timer or pressure switch.

You can locate all the parts and their location in this site. I hope I have the correct model for your washing machine.

Machine will not spin or drain water.

I have a problem with my MW512AU. Sometimes it drains after wash cycle, but sometimes it sticks when it goes to spin, doesn't get up to speed, water comes on for about 10 seconds and shuts off, and it tries to spin again. If I hit the wash progress switch it goes directly to final spin and works ok. I then have to run a 2nd wash cycle to rinse the clothes. I also noticed a buzzing sound when I turn on the power point, which lasts about 3 seconds before stopping. It will come back on every 3-4 minutes for 30 seconds. This is with the machine power switch off. It powers on normally.

My whirlpool duet front load washing machine stops in mid cycle

F21 = LONG DRAIN ERROR

If the drain time exceeds 8 minutes the water valves turn off. After 4 minutes the “Sd” error will be displayed, then 4 minutes later the F21 error code will be displayed.

Press PAUSE/CANCEL two times to clear.

Procedure:

1. Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
4. Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
5. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. If the above does not correct the problem, go to step 7.
6. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
7. Replace the pump.

Alternative Procedure:

If the machine cannot be forced to its diagnostic mode then:

1. Disconnect the washer from the power supply and water supply.
2. Remove the top panel by taking out the three screws in the back of the washer. The pressure switch is right on top.
3. Remove the Molex connector from the water level switch / pressure switch.
Refer to the picture below.
4. Reconnect the power supply but not the water supply.
5. Power the machine. The machine will enter diagnostic mode.
6. Power off the machine.
7. Replace the water level switch / pressure switch.
8. Reconnect the water supply.
9. Power on the machine it will work without error

Kenmore washing machine model 110 wash cycle stops

DOES IT DO THIS ON EVERY WASH OR SOMETIMES? IF SOMETIMES, CHECK LID SWITCH( THERE'S A LITTLE HOLE WHEN YOU OPEN THE LID, ON THE LID SHOULD HAVE A LITTLE PLASTIC PIECE THAT GOES IN THAT HOLE. THE SWITCH IS UNDER, INSIDE THAT HOLE. YOU CAN GET A PEN OR KEY TO SEE IF IT'S BROKEN.)
