SOURCE: Black and Decker Coffee Maker DE790B

There is nothing wrong with your unit, This is not a problem. There is no burner at all. This is a thermal carafe unit that does not require a burner to keep the coffee hot, but rather it's the thermos like quality of the carafe that keeps the coffee hot.

SOURCE: On but won't brew

The heating element may have failed or a connection has worked loose. Chances are slim you'd find anyone even willing to look at one of these. It would cost more to repair than replace.

If the display works and the platter heats up when it is turned on to brew, this might be the problem and solution. Please read both (scroll).

Won't get hot

Don't know the model but here are things to check prior to calling your vendor for service:
* Plugged in? No lights? Check if GFRI outlet is tripped out.
* Is it turned on and ready light lit? Some (CWTF's etc.) have a green or read ready lamp that lights up when the brewer is hot and ready to brew.
* No Ready light after 15-20 mins of being plugged in? Cheuck the back of unit for a toggle switch (or rocker switch). Check if it's on. Some units may say "Vacation". It should be on normal or brew.
* Brewing works but not hot. Was the ready light on when you started the brew? You have to wait till it's lit. Still not hot? Then call for service. The heater, High limit, Thermal fuse,Thermostat needs to be checked.
* If this is a new unit then be sure to turn on the thermostat as it comes from the MFR in the off position.
* Final, Call your vendor to be safe.

I cannot brew one pot after another. It seems that the heating element will not cool off so it will not trigger the fresh pot to brew.

Do you turn off the pot before you refill the reservoir to brew the second pot? The heating element should not have anything to do with triggering the second pot. Turn off the coffee maker, change/refill the coffee, refill the reservoir and turn the pot back on. This works on my Cuisinart.

Do not know how to program fresh start oasis full button over fil

Remove the brew basket and water defuser (sprinkler head) it should come off with a 1\2 turn.
Place your measuring pitcher or empty pot in place.
Turn the main power switch off in back of unit.
Press and hold the Brew(full pot) button.
While holding the Brew(full pot) button turn the main power button in back to on.
Once the red light flashes over the Brew(full pot) button release it, then press it once to start the brew cycle.
Let it flow until desired level in pot or measuring pitcher.
Press the Brew(full pot) button once to Stop.
Press the Brew(full pot) button once again to lock the settings into memory. Memory will store the settings even if machine is unplugged.
Half pot button is automatically set.

Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

My cuisinart coffee maker just recently started not using all the water I've poured into the reserve. Up 'til today it was leaving the last two cups in the reserve, but today, out of the six cups I poured...

This is a real problem with these coffee makers, and there's not much that can be done. However, there is a work around: before brewing, just hit the button to brew 1-4 cups. It'll still brew a whole pot, it'll use all the water, the coffee will taste no different, and you can still program it however you'd like. Cheers!

My coffee maker worked fine yesterday and will not make coffee today. The electricity is going to the pot.

Does the display work? Does the platter heat up when it is turned on to brew? If yes to both, this string might address the problem.

The power cord is hot but no lights or clock, nothing works.

ok " un plug coffee pot, if you take the base apart you will find the wiring, follow wiring to a round disk on the heating tube ,
that disk is a heat sensor , replace that sensor .

any appliance parts store will have them

sensor is bi-metal on the inside when it gets too hot it shuts power down.
