Antenna not working anymore?

talk with a tv technician as to the capabilities of the tv set but you may need a better outdoor antenna if the signal has changed from am to digital or fm in your viewing area

How do I get a signal from my Jack OA8200 digital tv antenna.

The signal meter should show you available TV transmitters. If you have received a signal at this location before and you definitely are sure it is powered up the antenna is defective. Check for anything that appears loose or broken. If the meter indicates a signal check the cable that goes to the TV.

No TV broadcast picture. Is this a tuner problem?

yes it does seem to be a tuner problem , I also wonder what happens when you use the auto channel finder and tuner usually found in the set up section of the menu ? As well as was your TV working before and receiving input via the antennae but has now stopped working in this regard ? I also noted that attaching an analog to digital converter box worked fine , so your TV is capable of receiving a signal via that method , dose the converter box use your antennae input jack or a video jack to send the converted signal into your TV ? if it is using your antennae jack then it may not be a tuner problem .

JVC HD-56G886 tuner stopped working

My (unfortunate) guess would be the Tuner received a static discharge when you were changing the antennas... this time of the year is bad for static - if you're in a "Winter" climate.

Receivers have a very sensitive FET or MMIC amplifier right inside from the antenna connection to make it better for picking up distant stations.

However, this same "sensitive" amplifier is also prone to being destroyed by even a small static discharge... especially if the tuner had its power turned ON.

Sad to say, it's likely toasted... :-(
(I hope I'm wrong... but you have already tried all other possible solutions)

My Phillips SLC4 flat screen TV has suddenly

The problem has cleared itself a day later after being switched on/off a few times.I suspect the 'computer part' of the TV (channel processor, instruction decoder etc) received maybe a power glitch or an illegal infrared instruction (2 remotes used at once for example) and 'locked up' leaving just the analogue side operating.
I was going to continue happily using it with just the analogue side slaved to my Hd recorder for digital signals but it seems to have got over whatever it was that upset it.

Hi,
When you say "struggles to get a signal" I assume you are receiving HD programming over the air using HDTV antenna. If so, try to re-orient the antenna. Better yet, go to this website http://antennaweb.org
type in your address and it will provide you with the best antenna and antenna positioning based on your location.

If you are receiving HD programming via cable or dish, contact your service provider and they can best resolve your issue if the problem is beyond the loose cable connection in your TV's tuner input.

GPS receiver problem

Does it work with an external antenna hooked up? If it does, it could be a problem with the flip-up internal antenna.
