Check if the cable box has a volume control which may be turned down or muted.

Ask the technician of the manufacturer for the service mode or the program for setting your lcd to its factory deault setting. then set your tv using a remote control. Not all technicians are willing to give that information. is the 3,5 jack for headphones ? check !!! also posible that the sound is on amp mode no ower speakers but over the external amp what should be pluged to the tv....

did you try format button on dish remote? Also shoul have picture format or size on tv remote.

Plug the Insignia output to TV video 1. Turn on TV, set to video 1 source. Turn on Insigna. You should now have picture and be able to go through the set up again.

I have a Insigna IS- TVHD30. It come on and have a perfect sound but I can't get a picture. Its about three years old. I went to sleep watching Tv. and when I woke up the t.V. was on, but wasn't showing a picture anymore. I decided to throw it away last week, and plugged it up and it came right for 2 days, it was perfect. Now it has went out a again. Can some help!!!

common problems:

check your head phones if it's still working, try new headphones.
check if it's being muted

last one if nothing happened your phone jack broke
