Re: Parts for 2009 Hyundai Elantra Electronic Power...
We have auto part supply stores here. I wonder if you do. I get my parts from a auto parts supply store and it is cheaper than a dealer. When going make sure you have make - model and year . They will need all the info for your car.

Power Steering - Hybrid
The electric power assist steering system consists of:
power steering control module
rack-and-pinion steering gear
The electric power steering system provides power steering assist to the driver by replacing the conventional hydraulic valve system with an electric motor coupled to the steering gear. The motor is controlled by an electronic control unit that senses the steering effort through the use of a torque sensor mounted between the steering column shaft and the steering gear. Steering assist is provided in proportion to the steering input effort and vehicle speed.
your best bet would be to have the ford dealer check it out !
The Meriva has a known fault with the electronic power steering rack which causes some weird other issues.
The replacement part and labour is expensive - I had one and the price in the UK was around £1200 for the repair.
Thankfully we had a media push in this country and the pressure made General Motors (Vauxhall/Opel/Chevrolet) do the fix for free, try calling your nearest dealer and see if they'll do this for you Meriva 02 09 Power Steering Problems
Well if its a new type car with electronic steering you will not have access to the pump has to go to the dealer.
But all other cars were you add the power steering fluid in the reservoir is mounted to the pump they are for the most part easy to change and fairly cheap it will be located on the belt side of engine.
If it helps please leave 4 thumbs up it helps us keep helping in here
are you shure this isn't electronic power steering? if so no power steering fluid on these. i have a 2006 gmc vehicle and it has electonic power steering. I had trouble with it and went looking for the fluid level only to learn there is none. i fixed the problem at least for now by finding the fuse for the power steering and pulling it. then replaced it and started the car and everything was ok. there have been some recalls on gm electronic steerings systems so you may have to check with a dealer. if this helps please reply and good luck
