Hello,

There are several possible problems.

1st - I have had many HDMI cables go bad. I highly suggest using on HDMI version 1.4 cables - there are version 2.0 cables and they work too. Cables from a reputable company are a must. I have used cheap cables and they are intermittent and usually fail completely after a while. Belkin, cables 2 go and other cables are more expensive but I have never had any of them fail. Test the cable on a known good working system to see the picture and audio working for yourself.

2nd - If you computer received updates, I'd go through Device Manager and check for any devices not properly recognized and fix those errors.

3rd - Go to Control Panel, Click on Hardware and Sound, Click on Sound, find your device and ensure it is enabled.

4th - Check Bios on your computer and check it the HDMI port has been turned off.

5th - If you are running this to a TV, the TV may be at fault, check by going through the TV menus. Or - check by attaching your computer to another HDMI enabled device.

Best Wishes,
Joe

Sharp aquos lenovo sl410 hdmi cable

Have the same problem. Old laptop works fine connected to Sharp Aquas LC 46D65U. New HP 17 envy connected by same hdmi cable has intermittent flickering (screen shuts between 1 and 2 seconds. Computer works fine on other tv's. .HP tech support says its not the laptop. TV's 5 years old. Tried 2 HDMI cables. (one suggestion was to change the tv output to 1080i or 1080p opposite to current selection, but I havent figured out how to do that yet). Wondering if its a window 8.1 issue....windows 7 works fine on the old laptop.

Does Lenovo y560 has hdmi input?

It has HDMi output, but not input. It will output to a HD tv or monitor with HDMi input, but you cannot input anything into the notebook, check the Lenovo website.

Lenovo 3000 n200 built in camera not working in windows 7

Instructions

1

Identify why you need an HDMI connection from your computer. Because the 2764 does not have an HDMI port, you will need to obtain some sort of adapter to connect to an HDMI device. There are a number of different ways to achieve that connection.
2

Purchase an external USB video card with an HDMI output. These devices have a number of benefits, including the ability to display a different image on the HDMI output than that which is being displayed on the screen. One example of these devices is the Sabrent USB-2011 which can display a 1080p HD signal over its HDMI connector. Other devices will also include support for audio and send it along the HDMI wire with the video signal.
3

Use a DVI-to-HDMI adapter if you have a Lenovo ThinkPad USB Port Replicator with Digital Video. This device takes the computer's existing video card and displays its signal over DVI. DVI-to-HDMI adapters are both affordable and easy to obtain.
4

Convert the computer's VGA output directly to HDMI. Because VGA is an analog signal and HDMI digital, doing this requires a special piece of hardware such as the StarTech VGA to HDMI converter with audio. Simple VGA to HDMI cables will not work, due to the lack of digital output from the T400's VGA port.

I wanna connect my laptop(lenovo G450) to samsung series 4 lcd through hdmi cable

Hello,

A HDMI cable can output both audio and video, whilst some computer with Windows XP cannot automatically switch to HD Audio output as Windows 7 can. Thus manual setup can solve the problem.

After connecting the HDMI cable, Go to "Start" > "Control Panel" > "Sounds and Audio Devices", double-click "Sounds and Audio Devices. Select "Audio" tab on "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" window.

On "Sound playback", change "Default device" from "Conexant HD Audio output" to "NVDIA High Definition Audio".

Your television should have several HDMI ports, select the appropriate HDMI port number and check if TV is not muted.

Hope this helps.

I have lenovo ideapad y510 which i wnna connect to samsung LED tv 6 series with HDMI input. So basically i want a cable which connects laptop video output to HDMI input in TV.

Hi er_gauravpra,

I see you want to use an HDMI connection for your Video from your Lenovo Y510.

I have checked information about the Y510 and it does not have the Technology of HDMI on the Y510 system of Lenovo, Y510 system only have the VGA port where in you can use a VGA cable to get video output to an External Monitor.

Regarding the issue about HDMI I have not seen any Converters yet that can be bought from anywhere to convert VGA to HDMI and I believe that will not be possible since VGA is a lower type of video output than what an HDMI can.

I do apologize but the Y510 systems does not have the HDMI technology to on it.

I hope this clarifies everything about your Query.

Have a nice day

Look in the manual for which version of HDMI. If it's 1.2a, they had a problem with the boards and were repairing them. Contact Yamaha @ 1-800-292-2982 Hope this helps

Hdmi wont work . my cables work fine but not hmdi cable

Hi, I had the same exact problem exept me it happened while playing... the picture started to pixelize and to blink :S after 2 hours of playing... I've tried all the previous solutions and still didin't work. My PS3 was still garanteed and I finally shipped it to Sony.. and they finded out that the HDMI output socket was malfunctionning... maybe due to ''overheating'' or it even desoldered/dewelded from the PS3 mainboard.. whatever now it works fine... probably a weak assembly by Sony... go figure lol

All I have to say it that if you've tried EVERYthing from the previous posts to make it work and it still dosen't and that your warranty is over, take your PS3 to any Audio/Video repair shop, they'll change the HDMI output socket and/or weld it to the mainboard and VOILà! costs around 60$ to 150$ depending on if he has to replace the socket.
