Question about KitchenAid Architect II Superba EQ Series KUDE20FB

1 Answer

Kitchenaid Superba Gas oven and cooktop. I frequently get a F2: E1 code, which goes away when I reset the fuse. Also, the 1, 4, and 7 touch pads don't work but all others do.

How do I Check the connection between the touch pad (keypad) and control board (clock) to make sure it is secure.

F2 e1 error code kitchenaid

Touch pads are notorious for going bad. You can pull the ribbon cable off and gently clean the contacts with a pencil eraser. If this soesn't fix the problem then the touch pad is more than likely the culprit.

Audible alarm sounded--"F2 "appeared on

Your model is actually a 911. Roper (Whirlpool)

The F2 error code is

E0 - Shorted keypad (also called touch pad)

E1 - Keypad cable unplugged

E5 - Cancel key drive line open

E6 - Cancel key drive line open

Solutions:

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).

2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).
