HP CP1515n Toner tray stuck on right side

Toner cartirdge tray stuck. The Magenta toner was nearly empty and needed replacing due to the print quality. I inserted a new magenta cartridge and it printed horizontal stripes across the page and there was a loud clicking noise at the back right side of the machine (when looking at the machine) . I removed the new cartridge, checked it and put it back in. printed a demo page and same thing again. Tried to remove toner tray and it wouldn't come out - it's stuck on the right side and will not move even a millimeter. The panel is displaying - reinstall magenta cartridge and supply memory error. Any ideas or direction on how to go about solving this? I am presuming I will have to open the machine further. Julie

SOURCE: every page covered in magenta and black won't print across the page

This is caused by toner contamination in the laser scanner unit, it is quite a complex job removing and cleaning the laser scanner. I would suggest you contact HP regarding the repair.

When installing new cartridges, it's always a great idea to perform a cleaning and recalibration of the machine. Below are the steps needed to do just such a task. You may want to print these out or save them somewhere for future reference as well. They are directly from the HP website.
Please rate the tip accordingly and thanks for using Fixya.com.
Cleaning the printer

  1. Verify the printer is turned on and in the Ready state.
  2. Open the HP Color LaserJet 2500 Toolbox. Click Cleaning Page on the Troubleshooting tab, and the click Print (HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500) or Cleaning Page (HP Color LaserJet 2550). A page with a pattern prints from the printer.
  3. Remove any paper that may be in tray 1.
  4. Remove the page that printed and load it face down into tray 1.
  5. At the computer, press Clean .
Calibrating the printer There are two methods of calibrating the printer manual: at the printer or from the Toolbox on the computer. From the printer Turn the printer off and then on again. From the HP Color LaserJet 1500 or 2500 Toolbox on the computer

Magneta Color (Toner) and when I print, the Magneta color does not print. Even on supplies status page, the yellow color section at the bottom is blank where the yellow color should be printed. How c

Hello,
The Magenta or RED toner cartridge should be removed and double check that you have indeed removed the pull tab located on the side of the cartridge which will remove the sealing tape off the new toner cartridge.
The YELLOW toner cartridge on the other hand if it is not new then it is perhaps empty and needs to be replaced. Another option is to remove the YELLOW toner cartridge from the machine, Tap it and shake it side to side to loosen the toner that is in it, and replace it back into the machine, this will usually make it start to work again!
Good Luck!

HP color laserjet 2840 printer. no printing on the left side of the paper.

Hi

No print on the left side indicates that the toner powder on the left side is almost empty. Try to remove the toner cartridge and shake it well if the toner are new.

If still the same, you need to replace new toner cartridge to get better print out.

My CP1515n colour laser is giving faded colours. The left side of the print is very faded whereas the rest of the print is slightly faded

There are two reasons for faded prints. Firstly, faded print could be due to exhausting toner.
If it you have faded prints even after replacing the toner cartridge or if your current cartridge has enough toner, it is most likely be due to dust/ toner dust accumulated at the laser reflecting mirrors inside the printers,
which partially blocks laser beams and requires cleaning/ servicing by a professional.
Hence, it is recommended that you get the printer checked/ serviced from authorized service center.

Hope it helps! Good Luck!

HP CP2025 Heavy smears of magenta appear down the right-hand side of paper. Have tried restart and changing paper weight.

It is due to spilled magenta toner leaking from side to the toner cartridge. Take the cartridge out of the printer and clean it. Clean visible inside of the printer. Shake the cartridge lightly in horizontal position to evenly distribute the toner inside the cartridge and put it back. The issue sould be fixed after some prints.

Good Luck!
Appreciate generously, if the solution could have been of any help!

Streaking on left side of page

there are some possibilities for this problem. i will explain it. 1) First of all check out if the toner is full ,half or near to empty. There is no exact procedure to check the powder left in the toner without opening the toner.but in one toner there comes about near to 1500 copies.if you have got about 1200 to 1300 copies.then its quite possible that the power left is near to empty so the streaks comes on the paper due to less powder left.many times in this case removing and shaking the toner then reinserting the toner again and checking the printout helps. 2) But if you are sure that toner is not empty then other possibility is.in the toner cartridge there is a aluminium drum.its easily seen in the cartridge.once you remove the cartridge. if that drum is got very much used then due to that drum the streaks appear.fox example.if the drum is new the print is very dark.if the drum gets old the print gets very light or with streaks or faded print. 3) Now if drum and toner powder both are proper and still the problem then its the fault in the printer.in your printer there is some toner powder got spilled out on the inner parts from where the printing paper passes.so when the paper passes from the part where the powder is fallen or got collected then the streaks comes.in this case the printer needs internal cleaning and servicing. 4) but in some cases it has been noticed that internal powder of the toner becomes moist and very hard to come out from the toner for printing.in this case either toner needs to be refilled or toner needs to be replaced.you can get the toner refilled from local cartridge refilling store or local stationery shops dealing in cartridge refillings. The cartridge refilling shops also have the same printer for checking the cartridge.so at the refilling shop it will be confirmed whether the fault is in cartridge or printer.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated. please please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

I have 3 bottles of toner. How can I refill mt HP

There is no point in trying to home refill toner cartirdges unless you have an effective way of managing the waste toner. Almost all toner cartridges, including yours, have a waste toner hopper that holds the toner which was cleaned from the imaging drum that did not go on the paper. If you are unable to empty this is will eventually overflow into your printer, make a huge mess and possibly damage the machine. Also, the components in the cartridge are only intended for one time use, they will need to be replaced. If not the special coatings on them will wear off and the cartirdge will just fail to print. I would recommend high quality refills from a reputable seller who replaces parts, not just reuse, this is important to ask.
