I can change line spacing but these lights are always on.
Try turning it on remove the batteries check the contacts for clean replace the batteries in the correct direction.

Try reinstalling the printwheel.

A lot of possibilities Which lights, beeps, how many? Check for debris in and around the printwheel, look for any obstructions under the carrier, put a few drops of oil on the silver shaft the carrier ride on.

First be sure the printwheel is installed properly, and look for debris in that area. Put some light oil on the silver shaft that the carrier slides on (WD40 is good).

Few things to check. Turn the T/W off and be sure the carrier moves back and forth easily, if not look bfor debris in side machine, lube the silver carrier shaft with some WD40. If these fail you are looking at a board or metal debris on or under the board.
