Some model Sharp sets, they have used the Philips main board. Yours should be one like that. These blinking codes denotes it. That means; your TV is a not duplicate one. Sharp did it for some sets of their own. So, when you try to count the blinking codes of such set, you should follow the way of how to count the blinking codes to Philips TVs.
These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Count it carefully. If you wish to get some details, check the site linked here. It has details about blinking codes, and fault locating procedure, to many popular brand TVs and other devices.

If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Search the site by type in the "brand name" to your device, in the "Search box at the top right of the display window of the Homepage" to get gathered related posts.
Counting of number of blinks to Philips TVs is entirely different to that of other brand TVs. It is not a direct count procedure. The site have details about how to count the number of LED blinks [Fault Codes] to Philips brand TVs are given; along with details of the faulty circuit location.

This is a classic switchmode power supply, shutting down to avoid a fire, explosion, or both. This set had developed a problem, that is so severe that the set must be shut down, This set should be removed from the Power, and in my professional recommendation, you should get a "Quote" for repair, from, an, Approved Service Center, Sharp in your case, Now, this last point is very important for a good result, Always contact, their local, "Head Office" Now, when you get the information you want, then you can decide as to repair of replacement. The reason we want an approved agent, is that way, all the engineers are trained on their own brand sets, they have seen almost all faults, and will get the job done quicker, and for less cost, and usually have parts on hand, also sometimes, there has been a service bulletin in issued and the repair may be subsided or even free.

you need to check first the power supply board this needs to open the back cover of the TV.The power supply board is where the power cord is connected.there are 3 voltages present on it in order to operate the television.first is 5 v for main cpu,12v for sound and 24 volts for backlight.if one of this voltages is missing TV will not operate normal might as well dead set. use a multimeter to measure the voltages.and post back for your finding and will proceed to further trouble shooting..thank you
