Pressing this button stops operation of other buttons.
"Locking" or "Un-Locking" is repeated whenever pressing the CHILD LOCK button. (For "Locking" or "Un-.Locking" press the "CHILD LOCK" button for 3 secs.)
When 'CHILD LOCK' is activated, pressing the other buttons would not work.

SOURCE: LG Washer WM2455H Tub Clean Problem

Yes, it's normal. It is a safety feature because of the hot water used during the tub clean cycle. It prevents the machine from opening while the tub clean cycle is in process.

SOURCE: lg washer model no wd

How to get the door open:

Thread a shoelace between the door and the front of the machine from the top, over the latch on the middle right and to the bottom. Pull both ends of the shoelace towards the hinge on the left and this will manually pull open the latch with NO DAMAGE. Once open you can access the screws to remove the mechanism and simply buy a replacement.

LG, bloody hopeless support and no simple way to rectify this problem in the manual when it's so easy once you know.

SOURCE: LG "WM12336FD" washing machine is displaying ,CL,

I cannot find that model number in any of my LG data.

There is a button on the control panel that will say Child Lock. That button will have to pushed and held down until you hear the chime.

SOURCE: I have an LG 3431H

Please be advised that the Child Lock function works only when the machine is in operation to prevent the settings from being altered. You should select a cycle, press start, and then hold the Delay Wash button for 3 seconds or until "Child Lock" is displayed before your cute little angel can play with the buttons and listen to the chimes.

SOURCE: Washer Control Locked blinking and won't washer won't work

Water still in the bottom of the drum. Empty, clean filter and check pump is turning. Once pressure switch is satisfied no water is left it'll allow the door to open, assuming the door interlock is still ok.

To TURN OFF CHILD LOCK on your LG washer, press and hold the CHILD LOCK button for 3 to 5 seconds. The washer should now have CHILD LOCK mode DISABLED and all buttons will function properly.

PLEASE NOTE: ON other newer LG front load washing machines hold the PREWASH/CHILD LOCK button for 3 to 5 seconds to turn CHILD LOCK OFF.

My washing machine is beeping and showing the key light and not turning on. The door opens though but it seems to be saying its locked!? It doesn't show the cycle time either. How can i get it to go...

Hello, welcome to FixYa.

I'll start by saying your post indicates it is a Bosch, but you didn't specify the model number. It sounds like the "child lock" selection has been activated, either intentional or accidental.

To reset it on many Bosch it is as follows...(if this fails, please provide your model number)

1) Press the "menu" button until you see "CHILD LOCK :ON" appear in the display. ( if nothing is pressed within 10 sec.following this the menu will close and it will default to program in the display )

2) Once you see what I just mentioned in the display press the "select" button until "CHILD LOCK :OFF" appears in the display.

3) Finally by pressing the "start/pause" button the key symbol should disappear confirming you have successfully exited the child lock program.

**Many times you can also push and hold the start key for several seconds and this too will deactivate the selection...on various models**

Let me know if this was helpful to you or not, if so please take a second and rate it accordingly and a short testimony is also appreciated.

Thank you for choosing FixYa. I'll need to watch for your reply if that doesn't work or before moving forward.

Regards,

Macmarkus :)

Washer LG wd80264tp showing on dislay CL and not starting

Hello there and welcome to fixya
This is a very common error code this stands for child lock
LG washing machines indicating error code CL may have the child lock activated. Try holding down the temperature and eco/rapid options together to turn off child lock. you may have to hold them down for a min of 3 sec and you should see it return back to normal
You can also unplug the machine for 1 hour to allow for the internal reset feature to reset the memory module ok
Hope this helps
Best regards Mike

Turned on Dryer today; problem; Estimated time remaining window shows CL (no time) Non of the time buttons selected show time in window. Dryer runs forever; gets hot and drys clothes. Pause button does...

The Child Lock feature is activated and it can be deactivated by pressing and holding the DRY LEVEL button for 3 seconds or until the CL display is cleared.

Indicate the exact model number of the dryer if the control panel doesn't look like the one shown above or if no button with the small "PRESS & HOLD 3 SEC TO SET CHILD LOCK" (DRY LEVEL) marking is found.
