Convergence problem I just got this tv for free and there is a convergence problem. When i try to move the red from left to right, it will not move. also the blue seems to be off also. Everything on the tv works fine, but the colors are way off. I have no experience with tv repair, but is this tv worth fixing or should I put it back on the curb where I found it?

Try to adjust the convergence using the original remote control of your tv, then go to the convergence setting menu, then go to convergence section. You should be able to move the blue and red in any directions right, left and up, down. Your tv has a problem with the convergence, adjust it using the original remote go to the setting's menu then go to the convergence section. Adjust the convergence color red and blue the green color is your guide you cannot move this green color, then you should move the red and the blue in all direction left to right, up and down. Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.
