Question about Motorola Mobility RAZR V3

    The keypad on my phone isn't working. The number 9 is permanantly depressed and every time I open the phone it automatically calls my poor Aunt Emma. The phone is virtually uselessi can't navigate through it at all, can't press enter. Since it is a Verizon phone it does not have a sim card so I am hoping to fix it to at least be able to retrieve my contacts. The phone is approximately 1 1/2 years old so it is not under warranty. Help!

    I'm having the same problem with my phone. Th keypad won't work at all except for the "off" key. Apparently, this is a common problem with these phones. I read that humidity causes it, or moisture. That makes sense because we were at Busch Gardens yesterday when it started doing this and the humidity is bad there. My phone is still under warranty because it is only a few months old, however, they have already replaced my phone once already due to my old phone not turning on. Would they replce it again?

    P.S. I heard putting your phone in front of your car's a/c full blast for 10 minutes or so helps. I am trying that now. Any other suggestions?

    my phone turns on and off, but if i try to dial the buttons wont work.

The A/C thing did not work, so I baked mine in the oven on the lowest setting for 20-30 minutes. It works great now :) It is a humidity/moisture issue. Hope that helps!

I took it to the store today and they did something to it and made it work.... They said if it happens again within the week you have left on your 30 day contract we will replace it. I wished I would have said well lets do it now.

I'' ve experience that too, i bought a new v3i model. used for almost 2 weeks. same thing happen keypad won't work. keypad Flex Damaged need to replace..imagine 2 weeks durable this unit..

My friend, this type of machines have a com and or control center where the control pad is assembled to.Maybe the IC unit is not working at all or a connector is faulty. Check for all the connections or try to replace the IC main unit.

I have a Hayward h250 heater and the keypad does not work won't turn on, should I replace it or is it a bigger problem then the key pad. Everything else works fine but the keypad has now power to it...

in some heaters you can lock the key pad to prevent other person to change their temperature settings,if that is not you case( REPLACED) but before check the instruction MANUAL.

Safe won't stay locked, key missing but have key pad.

You might need to have the key set to lock in order to use the keypad or check the battery in side the door

Press the function key with the image(mouse/no mouse).For M840 its [ F5 ].
Try [ F5 ] or [ FN ]+[ F5 ]. For other pcs it maybe [ F9 ] .

Microwave key pad won't work

That is a failed membrane keypad.

It is part number 3518522640B and you can order it from the Pros here.

Touch pad not working

Did it work for you before? what has happened since then?some laptops have a way to disable the touch pad so you won't accidentally move the cursor while typing. It may be a switch on the computer itself, or a LED in the corner of the touch pad, or it may be one of the Function keys (does any of them have a symbol of a mouse with a circle and one diagonal line indicating "no mouse") If so, push the fn key plus which ever function key has that symbol beside it.Some laptops automatically disable the touch pad if a USB mouse is plugged in.If none of these is the problem, you may not have a touch pad driver installed. Get a USB mouse to plus in until you get the driver installed. Go to the web page for the manufacturer for the laptop. Search for your model in the support section, and look for drivers. Download the appropriate driver for your touch pad and your version of Windows, and install it.Buying a USB mouse or a wireless mouse may be a valid solution no matter what the problem is if you like a real mouse.

My mouse and think pad do not work

There are 2 possible answers to this common issue, the first is that the aspire has a mouse lock. check your keyboard on the function buttons for a picture of a mouse with a line though it, hit function and at the same time press the mouse with the line through it and if its locked off this will turn if back on. The second answer is driver issues, if the first suggestion dont work I would go to the Acer website click on downloads and drivers and enter your model number. Then download and install your think-pad and mouse pad drivers and install.

2 keys, 8 and O not working. Dirty? Dead? worth repairing?

Could be dirty. It's always worth trying to clean it. Use alcohol though it evaporates and won't damage the phone key pad

it is best to check with your service providers and have them check the settings , or explain to you how to check and change them.
