How to clean your Dyson Hot + Cool AM04, AM05 or AM09 fan heater.
Your machine may differ visually to the one shown in the video, but the process for cleaning it will remain the same.
IMPORTANT: Please turn off and unplug your Dyson Hot + Cool heater before cleaning it. Allow it to cool for 1-2 hours before cleaning if the heater has been in use.
We recommend using a soft, dry cloth or soft dusting brush to clean the intake holes and loop amplifier. Do not use liquids, polishes or detergents to clean your Dyson Hot + Cool heater as this could cause damage not covered under guarantee.
When you lower your AM05's target temperature (shown on the LED display on the front of the machine) down to 0°, the red light around the on/off switch will turn blue. This shows your machine is now running in fan-only mode, without the heating elements - suitable for use in hot weather. You can then adjust the airflow power and oscillation to suit your needs.

I'm sorry to hear you're having difficulty with your Dyson Hot + Cool fan heater. I'm not sure from your question if your machine isn't running at all, or if it's displaying an error code. However, there are a couple of quick troubleshooting steps you can try.
If your AM05 is displaying an error code, we'd recommend unplugging it for the wall socket for 30 seconds before testing it again. This should reset the machine.
However, if your AM05's LED display lights up as normal, it may not be coming on because the thermostat's target temperature is set lower than the current ambient temperature. Try raising the target temperature degree by degree using the remote or the controls on the base. You should find it will come on once you've set it to heat the room to a higher than ambient temperature.
