HW5513M Hoover washer dryer has a coin filter which I clean regularly, but washer door seal (and hence laundry) has wet fluff buildup. How do I prevent this?

The only filter, on the front of the machine, is clean of debris, however I'm still finding wet lint around door seal and on the laundry. How can we stop this?

SOURCE: coin trapped between rotating drum and casing

Get underneath the machine and remove the big black house coming directly out of the drum, this is held in place with either a screw tie or pinch type tie.
Put the machine back level and see if the coins drop out (they should) or have a feel around inside the drum.
Please make sure machine is unplugged and empty before carrying out this procedure.
Some water will come out of hose.

SOURCE: Dryer not working, indicates "lint

This is a common complaint with this dryer. The probe generating this problem,is at fault. It likely has a film on it,from the dryer sheets.Remove the lint screen, and wipe down the probe that sticks into the air box.Should fix the problem,if not ,replace the probe.

SOURCE: Samsung dryer DV448AEP/XAA - lint buildup

Yes this is rellatively normal as clothes are just not made the same way any more. You could turn down the drying temperature slightly and put in an anti static drying sheet but it won't make that much difference.

Testimonial: "I just had a repairman out because the dryer was no longer heating. The whole inside of the dryer was full of lint. It was awful. "

How do I clean the filter on the Novotronic W 310 Miele washing machine

Cleaning the fluff filter and pump
Check the fluff filter initially after 3 - 4 washes to ascertain how often it is likely to require cleaning. With normal cleaning approx. 2 litres of water run out.

If the drain outlet is clogged, more water will be retained in the machine (up to 25 litres).

Caution: if laundry has been washed at a high temperature,
water draining out of the machine will still be hot!

Take the (yellow) filter flap opener from behind the detergent drawer facia panel. Open the flap.

Place a dish under the drain fixture. Turn the fluff filter lid round 2 - 3
times. Do not take it right out.

With large volumes of water when the dish is full, screw the fluff filter back into position and empty the dish before repeating the procedure.

Once the flow of water ceases, remove the fluff filter completely and
clean it.
Remove any foreign bodies (e.g. buttons, coins, etc.) and fluff.
Turn the impeller by hand to check that it is free to rotate. Any foreign objects causing an obstruction should be removed.

Clean the inside of the fluff filter housing. Remove any deposits of lime scale and detergent or foreign bodies from the thread of the filter housing and filter unit (as these objects can cause a leakage
of water). Put the fluff filter back and screw it in firmly.
Cleaning and care

To clean the water inlet filters
The washing machine has two filters to protect the inlet valves. These filters should be checked every 6 months or so, or more often if there are frequent interruptions to the water supply.

To clean the filter in the union in the open end of the inlet hose:
First turn off the stopcock.
Unscrew the threaded union connecting the free end of the inlet hose to the stopcock.
Remove the rubber seal from the recess. Using pointed pliers, take hold of the plastic filter bar, remove the filter and clean.

Put the filter and seal back in the reverse order and reconnect the
hose. Turn on the stopcock and check the connection is watertight.
Inspect the inlet hose which is subjected to high pressure while the machine is in operation. The hose should be replaced if there are small cracks in the surface, or if it has been otherwise damaged.

If replacing the inlet hose only use a hose able to withstand pressure up to 70 bar. Miele's own hoses meet this requirement.

To clean the filter in the water inlet valve:
Using pliers, carefully loosen the ribbed plastic nut on the inlet valve,
and unscrew.
Use water pump pliers to withdraw the plastic filter by the bar.
Clean, put back and secure.
The two filters must be put back in place after cleaning.

Doesn't dry

Drying consists of removing moisture through heat and airflow. Check to make sure that your venting tube is not kinked somewhere and therefore not allowing the air to flow freely from the dryer.

Thor laundry system won't dry clothes I have a thor no venting washer/dryer combo machine, that has been working fine for years. Suddenly it is not drying clothes and instead, clothes are soaking wet...

I am having the same problem on a WD9900A. The wash cycle works great. Spins fast and clothes are completely rung out. Dryer cycle heats up well. Fluffs and heats cloths. At some point during dry cycle water is injected on clothes and they end up sopping wet; much wetter than after wash. Filter is clear. Outlet pipe clear and functions well. Possible problem with dryer timer? Or washer timing kicking back on?

Front load MDE2400AZW takes forever to dry stuff. A regular load takes 1 1/2 hrs to dry,but the heat is on, and it seems to work.

Make sure the lint trap in the door is clean. It has a plastic cover that opens. Disconnect the venting at the rear and run a load, if it works you have a restriction in the hose after the dryer or in the wall past the hose.
