F25 -
If the control is unable to properly detect motor speed, the washer shuts
down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door unlocks after
3 minutes
Possible Causes/Procedure
Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers and the
power cord are removed.
Unplug washer or disconnect power.
Check the drive motor tachometer resistance.It should be
approx. 115

Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and the
Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the Central
Control Unit (CCU).
Plug in washer or reconnect power.
Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
Check the drive motor for powered rotations.
unfortunately if your not familiar with the workings of the motor control and drive motor this is a tough thing to diagnose. its an issue between the motor # 13 and the motor control board # 1 on this diagram.
check the connections on the plugs, disconnect and reconnect them. in most cases it a bad motor control board.

My maytag washer model MFW9600SQ0 has an F06 error code. It was previously vibrating during the spin cycle then the error code showed up. I took the back off and found one of the springs that the drum...

The F06 is a drive motor tachometer failure which means the motor control is not able to see the motor is running. This can be a difficult problem to pin down, but there are some things you can do yourself if you like. Check the connections between the motor control and motor. Also check connections on the central control are all tight. Push on all of the connections and see if there is any improvement. The images below will help with access on some Maytag front load washers.

Maytag Epic Z Washer has object between drum and tub.

I had the same rattling during spin cycle of my Maytag 4000 series front loading washer. Noticed you could gently pull back on the rubber gasket between the tub and where the door seals. There was a quarter resting against the fixed ring the tub spins in. Problem solved. And I have further realized that long hair can build up in this same spot. But if you didn't know to pull back on the gasket you wouldn't see it. Good luck!

Hi,

If you remove three screws along the bottom front the bottom panel comes off.
On the inside, on the right wall, is a plastic bag with a paper labeled "FOR SERVICE TECHNICIAN ONLY".
This has a section titled "FAILURE/ERROR DISPLAY CODES" with all the error codes along with an explanation and recommended procedure. For F25, this is:

likely a rubber gasket slipped off the groove.... try taking it apart and slipping the gasket back on.

heavy loads have more force during the spin cycle.
