I received singer sewing machine 2623 machine and I do not have the manual. How can I get it and how do I fill the bobbin

Singer has manuals for most of their sewing machines available at their site. For the 2623, the manual is only available as a bound copy for $15. Go to http://www.singerco.com/accessories/instruction-manuals and enter the model number then click Search.

I believe on this model, you fill the bobbin with it on the metal pin on the top right of the machine. With a metal presser foot in place, bring the thread up and around the guide that pin. Wrap the thread a few times around the bobbin. Set the lever to the bobbin winding position and begin winding. Stop and trim the excess thread from your initial wraps after it is fully caught. Then complete winding the bobbin.

(On other Singer machines, you fill the bobbin in place with the bobbin cover moved halfway open.)

I hope this helps.

I have the brother Ls-2000 sewing machine i threaded the top as well as the bobbin but when i try to sew the thread gets stuck and it bunches up and tangles in the bobbin. also the little bit that did sew...

adjust your tension. You probably did not wind your bobbin properly as well.Make sure you oil your machine every month or so and make sure your bobbin is seated properly before you sew.
Go slower with the pressure foot speed and use the right needle.ALWAYS test on scrap of your sewing material first!!!

I have this machine for like 2 years and can do 2-5oz cowhide and buffalo leather on it (no joke, and it works FLAWLESSLY) inside it has full steel construction, just needs regular oiling compared to pro machines and easily made a few grand $$$ with it while my pro machine is getting repaired (I don't even bother with my pro machine anymore) But you MUST oil it every month and use the RIGHT needle and adjust your tension properly
Also pull out the thread a good 6 inches from the needle and bobbin before dropping the pressure foot and sewing.
Best $70 bucks (WITH TAX) I spent hell, the leather I use costs more than the machine!

I have a Singer Imperial sewing machine, the bobbin winds in the machine, no manual with it. I have been trying to figure out how the bobbin is supposed to wind, I got it to do it one time trough trial and...

Does the bobbin have a metal "peak" on it? If so, drop it in the machine with the peak up. Slide the cover only about half way till the 2 arrows on the left match up. Thread the top as normal, put the machine in straight stitch. Thread the needle, then put thread under the foot and wrap thread around the post on the left. Leave foot up. Hold onto the end of the thread and start your machine. The bobbin should be winding now. After a few wraps you can let go of the thread and it should have broken off as you continue winding till the bobbin is full.

Sewing machine needle not moving up and down

Hi there,

Well there are many things to check (causes) -
Upper thread has run out. Presser foot is up.
Bobbin winder shaft was left in winding position.
Buttonhole lever was not lowered when machine was placed in buttonhole mode.
Anyway you may try the steps below to correct this (Solution) -
Replace empty spool and thread machine.
Lower presser foot.
Move bobbin winder shaft back fully to left.
Lower buttonhole lever.

Good Luck!!

Thanks for using FixYa!!
