Since it has an internet connection, I'm sure you could buy a set of connectors that plug into a 110 outlet, one to the ethernet connection on the TV, one to a port on the router. Example:
The WIFi dongle maybe loose or has lost its settings.
Make sure it has a good line of sight to the router and is not hidden behind the TV.
You can set up the settings manually
.The other thing which may help is to go into TV menus under network and change from 'manual' and use your own details;
Try these settings;
IP - 192.168.1.100
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - 8.8.8.8
Go to the manufactories website to see if there's a firmware for the TV. This could be a common. If there's no update then you could try connecting the TV via ethernet cable. Failing that your best bet would be to contact the place where you bought the TV from if it's still under warranty or contacting the manufacturer.
You TV cannot use a wifi wireless dongle. The usb port on your tv is for connecting a usb drive for pictures or movies. There is no place to load the drivers necessary for a wifi or bluetooth dongle.
