Cant charge my tom tom 510 sat nav in car but charges perfectly at home. tried cable at home but that ok and the light comes on when usb attatched to cigarette lighter so it getting power
The Car chargers are generally the defective unit.
I have also faced a similar issue as the spring loaded cigarette lighter was pushing the charger causing it to disconnect.
thankyou for your help, i found the problem to be the cigarette charger and the cable as when i pushed the usb to charger it had a loose connection.pushing it slightly left made me lose power

Surjit, damaged charge cord/plug or faulty charger. Have tested at a computer or cell phone repair shop.

If you mean the charge cable does not work in your vehicle and works in another car, then the problem is in your outlets circuit in your car, either a fuse has blown or a bad wire/plug or the outlet id defective.

via USB and open up your Windows Explorer and go to the drive. (It will be listed as TOMTOM (E) or some other drive letter). you made in STEP 1 back to the TomTom.195 views
