i have a 32" magnovox tv (chasis L01-1uac-7638) that has broklen down 3 times in 18 months. the tv is only 4 years old. the symptoms are always the same: first the volume bar will appear and sometimes lower the volume by itself. then the main tv menu will appear on its own and randomly move thru the menu. the 3rd stage is it will do all of this, then shut itself off. the final is all of the above, then shut off completely and won't power up, with a faint chirping sound in the back until unplugged. someone mentioned replacing the C2455 resistor, but i don't know much about electronics. can you offer any advice or parts to change? it's been repaired twice already at a large cost both times. thanks.
Usually, the L01-1 chassis most common problem = weak
capacitors, such as C2455.Could be C2425......47mf/25v...
Check all caps around horiz drive xformer = an ESR meter
helps on this one + a skilled, experienced technician......T.

The screen on my 15 month old Magnavox model MS3252S431 (chassis L01-1UAC-7638) 32-inch TV goes blank with a clicking sound. The green power light stays on. If I power off the TV and then power on again everything is fine.... sometimes for a few hours, sometimes the problem occurs again in a minute.I change the resister R 3340 still same problem plus first the volume bar will appear and sometimes lower the volume by itself. then the main tv menu will appear on its own and randomly move thru the menu. the 3rd stage is it will do all of this
my magnavox 32' TV MS3252S431 SERIAL # YA1A0512035025 WILL BE ON THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN IT WILL TURN ITSELF OFF, AND THEN BACK ON, AND THEN OFF AGAIN. THE GREEN POWER LIGHT WILL STAY ON. THE TV MAY STAY ON ALL DAY, OR IT MAY TURN ON AND OFF 10 TIMES A DAY, CAN YOU ADVISE OF THE PROBLEM
my magnavox 32" tv ms3252s431, Started turning the vol. down,going through the menu,turning off by itself you could push the vol. button and the ch. button would change now you can turn it on and you can hear the sound for a second but not enough time to see a picture then it goes quite and to a black screen
