I'm trying to hook up a 19" Sansui tv. I'm not on cable, but tried hooking it up to an antenna without any luck. What do I need to do to get the TV to work???

Make sure the TV can receive digital over the air signals (it should have an ATSC tuner), that is it doesn't need a digital converter box. In the menu settings make sure the TV is set to antenna, not cable. You should be able to use the auto-scan (auto-program, etc.) from the menu to find and program the local channels.

Can i program lg magic remote to work with direct tv box

If your LG TV came with the IR blaster cable you will need to set one of the sensors in front of the sensor on your DirecTV box. Then go to your TV setting and select Video Input and Select the Input Port that your DirecTV box is hooked to. (In my case HDMI1). Then you will select that you are trying to sync your Service Provider and it will give you a list of device manufacturers. Select DirecTV limited and it will start to give you codes to try. You test these by trying the channel button up or down. If the channel changes you have found your code and you will click on "Yes" and you are ready to control. The "Guide" button will now bring up the DirecTV Guide and you no longer need the DirecTV remote.

Cannot program channels into remote

IF YOU, STILL SUBSCRIBE DIRECTV, YOU MAY GO TO THE MENU, USING THEIR CLICKER AND GO TO THE PART OF MENU, WHERE YOU CAN CHOOSE TV TO OPERATE WITH DIRECTV REMOTE. YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CHANGE ANYTHING ON TV BY USE DIRECTV REMOTE, BUT TO OPERATE IT'S CONTROL BOX. REALLY, YOU CHANGING CHANNELS ON THAT BOX, NOT TV ITSELF. IF YOU'RE NOT A SUBSCRIBER, FORGET THAT REMOTE! UNLESS YOU'RE A CUSTOMER, IT WON'T HAPPEN. JUST "GOOGLE" YOUR MAKE AND MODEL FOR A SUITABLE UNIVERSAL REMOTE, OR THE ORIGINAL.
ALSO: YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET ANY RECEPTION(HD OR ANY), UNLESS YOU HAVE RABBIT EARS OR ANTENNA ON A ROOF.
GOOD LUCK,
ALEX'S TV.

Have magnavox dvd recorder record direcTV DVR programs w/ hdtv

I am unfamiliar with this unit.
If you have scart connecters on both, connect av2 on the tv to av in on the recorder. set the recorder to record from av source.
You should now record a program, I think the static is the fact that composite is out from the dvd only, not an input, and in on the tv, not an output.

New Sharp Aquos LCD 46 TV

If you hooked up the satelite box to your tv Automaticly the Satelite box is the one who pick up the channels (from the satelite)
In this case your tv is acting as a monitor only. Try to connect your tv with HDMI cable or COMPONENT cable for best picture. Don't use RF antenna input to hook up your Satelite Box. Hope this Helps

Says unusable signal when trying to hookup my Nintendo 64.

Here are a couple of things to try. Go into the menu and make sure that you have the "ANTENNA" selected instead of "CABLE". Also make sure that the channel that you are using (3 or 4) is programmed into the memory of the tv. If not, use "auto program" in the menu to program the channels.

These newer tv's are not the same as older tv's. If none of that works, put a antenna amp on the output of the nintendo and then plug it into the tv. This should fix it.

Program satelite or cable

you are not specific as to programming cable or satellite .if you have cable tv with a cable box there is no need to program tv channels.the tv should be left on channel 3.check the back of the cable box & tv it may also be connected thru rca/s-video or componant cables meaning the tv should be on a line in/source ,or video input. for a tv without a cable box
you can do the auto or manual programming. no need to be on channel 3. if you have satelllite tv you need the box to hook up to your tv.you cannot bypass this box unlike cable tv.also check the back of the box for the other possible connections
good luck
