I just finished replacing my DLP chip and i repeated the process about 5 times because when i try to turn the tv on the screen doesnt go on, and the audio cannot be heard. All i was able to see was the the fan would turn off about 10 seconds from pressing the power button, then the tv shuts down. I kniw the DLP is adequately installed, i am thinking i wired it incorrectly. Please help.

i had the same lines on my 65' mitsubishi tv after replacing the DLP chip. after going back over everything i realized that the casinf that holds the chip in was not in the lock position. i took the chip out and replaced it then turned the little locking mechanism to the locked position. now my screen is perfect. hope this helps.
White dots on your RPTV television are the result of the DLP chip being worn out. You can replace it very easily by buying a new DLP chip for just under $190 and installing the new chip. There is a very good forum over at fixyourDLP that offers tutorials for replacing the DLP. http://www.fixyourdlp.com/2012/10/11/banish-white-dots-from-the-samsung-hl56a650c1-with-a-new-4719-001997-dlp-chip/ or for Mitsubishi http://www.fixyourdlp.com/2012/10/02/install-a-new-4719-001997-dlp-chip-and-banish-white-dots-on-the-mitsubishi-wd-82737/
