That model number is no good: but I would wager you need a new main control board

Bosch WAE24463 replaced drain pump and doesn't finish programs,F 18 shows .Factory reset?

If you have replaced the drain pump in your Bosch WAE24463 washing machine and it still doesn't finish programs and shows the error code F18, you can try a factory reset to see if it resolves the issue. Here's how you can perform a factory reset on your Bosch washing machine:
  1. Ensure that the washing machine is turned off and unplugged from the power source.
  2. Press and hold the "Start/Pause" button.
  3. While holding the "Start/Pause" button, turn the washing machine's program selector knob to the "Off" position.
  4. Continue holding the "Start/Pause" button for about 5 seconds.
  5. Release the "Start/Pause" button.
  6. Turn the program selector knob to the desired program and then press the "Start/Pause" button to start the reset process.
Please note that performing a factory reset will erase any custom settings or programs you have saved on your washing machine, so you may need to reconfigure them after the reset.
If the factory reset doesn't resolve the issue and the F18 error code persists, it's recommended to consult the user manual or contact Bosch customer support for further assistance. They will be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps based on the model and error code you are encountering.

I have a ET100C and the lights will only stay on for a few seconds in both manual and auto modes

Before you attempt any reprogramming, you might be better served by performing a RESET on the clock. TO RESET TIME SWITCH COMPLETELY: Press the recessed RESET switch for five seconds to remove all eight available events and to reset time of day clock to 12:00 A.M.

After resetting, try reprogramming again. The procedure below is copied from the manual (which can be downloaded here):

TO MANUALLY TURN ON OR OFF: Program Selector switch must be in RUN position. In AUTO or MANUAL Press ON/OFF button. Display indicates load is either on or off.

TO SET TIME: Slide Program Selector switch to TIME SET. Press HOUR and
MINUTE buttons individually to select current time of day. Note that clock is a 12 hour AM/PM repeating clock.

TO SET OR CHANGE PROGRAMMED SET POINTS: Select PROGRAM mode with Program Selector. Note that the event display shows Event #1. There are eight possible programmed events. Four ON and four OFF which are programmed alternately. All available events need not be used.
Press the HOUR and MINUTE buttons separately to program the first ON time
desired. Note the ON indicator (OFF in the next step) will only be displayed after the hour has been selected unless an ON time was previously entered.
Press EVENT button. The display now shows the next Event #2. Press HOUR and MINUTE buttons separately to select first OFF time or Event #2.
Press EVENT button to select Event #3. This is the second ON time. Program the ON time by pressing the HOUR and MINUTE buttons. Repeat this procedure for up to 4 ON and 4 OFF times (8 Events) as required. Return Program Selector switch to RUN Position. Be sure Manual/Auto switch is in the AUTO position.

TO OVERRIDE PROGRAM: Program can be overridden at any time by selecting the MANUAL position. Program set times will be maintained but will not operate the controlled load(s) automatically.

TO CHANGE OR DELETE PROGRAM SET POINTS: Place Program Selector switch into PROGRAM mode. Press EVENT button to step through the eight possible events. Note that the times which have been programmed will be displayed or 0:00 will be displayed if no set point has been entered. To change an event time, press the HOUR and/or MINUTE buttons to change the time currently in the program to the new time desired. Press EVENT button to proceed to next programmed event. To remove a programmed Event: Press the ON/OFF button two times. When this is done, the display will show 0:00 and the event number.

I hope this helps & good luck!

Childlock flashing unable start machine

Hi there, without some details of the make and model of your machine I can't tell you what buttons to press to perform a reset of the machine, however, this is a common problem, often associated with a momentary power failure when the controller doesn't get time to reset and return to an idle state before the machine gets power back and it gets "confused". Regardless of the cause, you will almost certainly find that unplugging from the mains (Not just powering off on the button, as some door locks have a sneak circuit, even when the power is turned off at the button) and leaving the machine undisturbed for a full 20 minutes will allow a reset, the door lock will disengage and all will be well when you power back up. Additionally, on older machines with analog program selectors, turn the selector to an end of program setting before you power it off.

Hello The model of our machine is 464245871. We ran a cycle for cotton on no.6. When the cycle was almost near its completion, the electricity of our house went off. It was restored after 12 hours but...

This is very unusual and you have done exactly what I would have done as a first off. But I'll take a flyer here. This is the only suggestion I have:

It may simply be that the cycle that you set it to was not compatible with the amount of water left in the drum and as a result the timed empty cycle timed out before the drum evacuated. The machine would then fail safe and not spin with very wet clothes in it. This will be a particulat pain if you have an old style program selector (The type that clicks around by its self as the program progresses) as these things get very "confused" by being turned off mid cycle.

If I'm right, then this may fix it:

Power the machine down again (unplugged from the wall) for a good 20 minutes so everything that can reset has reset.

If you have an analog selector switch that reaches the end of a cycle, set the dial to the end of a cycle before you power the machine back on (If you don't have that kind of switch, ignore this step).

Power the machine on.

Select the start of a normal (I would suggest non-fast coloureds) cycle.

If it's an analog switch, it should now start a fill cycle, if its a digital switch you will have a "Start" button to press.

This should allow any analog mechanism in an old type switch to catch up with itself and with a digital switch it should allow time for all the preset fill and empty cycles to run their course.

I hope this works. It is quite an unusual one. Please let me know if it DOES work, I would be interested to know for future problems.

LG WD-10160 TP. Display is showing code CL and no buttons work. I think it may be child lock but can't turn it off. The problem occurred when I turned off the machine & disconnected the water...

You are quite right, the Child Lock is engaged.

3 options for you depending on the machine:

Find the two buttons Temp and Options in the panel. Turn ON the machine, press these two buttons together for 3 seconds and that should reset it.

Or

It might have a little kids face above a lock key, inbetween the wash and rinse buttons, hold these for 3/5 seconds and it should work

Or

If it has a program selector twist dial, set the selector to off or the end of a program (If it doesn't have, don't worry) Then, unplug from the mains. Leave for 20 minutes without tampering.

Power back on and the machine should have reset

I have an Electrolux EWD1477. I have been away for four months and I'm having problems with it. I set to do the quickwash30 program and press start, you hear the clicks, it might put some water in then...

My EWD1477 was doing this a year ago and I fixed it. Then it started doing it again a month ago and I seem to have cleared it again.

Firstly, remove the drain hose from where it is inserted into a laundry sink hole to make sure it is not blocked or sealed in with sludge.

Secondly, make sure the machine is empty of water and clothes and then turn the machine to off with the Program Selector Dial. Then turn off the power at the socket and remove the power plug and leave for five minutes.

Step 1: put the plug back in and turn the power back on.

Step 2: turn the selector switch to the right (Whites/Intensive). The green light of the Start/Pause button should be flashing and the green lights on for Prewash/wash, Rinses and Spinning. Don't press any other buttons or change any other settings.

Step 3: press the Start/Pause button and wait for the machine to empty any excess water. Press it again immediately after you hear water flowing into the machine OR two audible clicks. The machine is now in pause mode with the green light of the Start/Pause button flashing. Only the green light on the Prewash/Wash button should be on. Leave it in pause mode for 30 minutes and then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Step 4: If the Start/Pause button begins flashing, water stops flowing into the machine and the three green lights mentioned above are back on, turn the Program Selector Dial back to off, wait 10 seconds, and repeat the process above.

Step 5: If when you then turn the Program Selector Dial to Whites/Intensive and hear the two audible clicks, immediately press the Start/Pause button to set the machine in pause mode. Wait 30 minutes. Then press the Start/Pause button to recommence the cycle.

Hopefully the cycle will run without a problem.

Opened drawer, loaded, went to turn on and HP error

I think HP display is linked to the inlet water pressure. You have inadvertently pressed the wash program buttons on the top of the door and pushed two button together. What you might be seeing is the setting for selection of water pressure. Perhaps best option is to put off power at the mains, wait a few minutes and put power on.

Try to keep the edge of the door and the wash program selector buttons free of grime

Indesit w123s on daily wash program no8 it starts to fill stops and emptys then starts clicking around on the selector knob the only way to reset it is to switch off and leave for a few minutes all the...

you need to open up the small door where the filter is and clear it out. Mine does this everytime my son puts his trousers in the wash and forgets to empty the pockets! we've had all sorts, elastic bands, wrappers, and money. Usually the machine still has water in it as the filter is blocked it won't continue the programme until this is clear and thats why the continuous clicking happens.
