Question about Fisher and Paykel 23 in. DD-603SS Built-in Dishwasher
At some point the two drawers individual drain hoses are joined using a "Y' type connector. Check this, and everything beyond this point for restrictions or blockage. It sounds like the bottom drawer is pumping its drain water out normally, but some of that water is backing up to the upper drawer. This is an installation or plumbing problem that is external of the dishdrawers.

We have this same problem and had a Fisher Paykel technician out who said they don't make the part we need anymore. He told me that the company does not want to repair these older units anymore and we would have to replace both units. What a sad response from a company. Our units are 15 years old and will now have to go into landfill........ugh!

I suggest pressing the keylock and power button together, hold for 5 secs, the display will change orange, the display should read HP if it says LP, press the start button to make display read HP.Then press power button to store. You will need to manually removed the water from the machine before restarting

SOURCE: Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer, lid not retracting, no power.
By no power you may be implying there is no display etc and the swithces are not working. Most likely the controller of the top drawer has had it. The controller is mounted on the front of the drawer behind the door panel. Hope things are better than that.

F1 error means the flood switch in the drawer is activated. If there is water inside when you open the drawer then you will have to manually empty it with a small container.
Most likely the solenoid that controls inlet water is faulty or the water level sensor is faulty.
Try turning the mains power and water off and on again and run dishwasher. If fault persists then you may have replace the parts.

You need a Air gap kit designed by Fisher and Paykel to address this problem. It is pricey but it is worthy. I used this and very happy with it since no back flow problem from one while other running. Here is a link to order it.http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net/product/WT50/WT50-Dual-Air-Gap-Kit/
