At some point the two drawers individual drain hoses are joined using a "Y' type connector. Check this, and everything beyond this point for restrictions or blockage. It sounds like the bottom drawer is pumping its drain water out normally, but some of that water is backing up to the upper drawer. This is an installation or plumbing problem that is external of the dishdrawers.

We have this same problem and had a Fisher Paykel technician out who said they don't make the part we need anymore. He told me that the company does not want to repair these older units anymore and we would have to replace both units. What a sad response from a company. Our units are 15 years old and will now have to go into landfill........ugh!

SOURCE: Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer, lid not retracting, no power.

By no power you may be implying there is no display etc and the swithces are not working. Most likely the controller of the top drawer has had it. The controller is mounted on the front of the drawer behind the door panel. Hope things are better than that.

F1 error means the flood switch in the drawer is activated. If there is water inside when you open the drawer then you will have to manually empty it with a small container.

Most likely the solenoid that controls inlet water is faulty or the water level sensor is faulty.

Try turning the mains power and water off and on again and run dishwasher. If fault persists then you may have replace the parts.

SOURCE: I have a Fisher Paykel dishwasher with water in top drawer

You need a Air gap kit designed by Fisher and Paykel to address this problem. It is pricey but it is worthy. I used this and very happy with it since no back flow problem from one while other running. Here is a link to order it.http://www.fisherpaykelparts.net/product/WT50/WT50-Dual-Air-Gap-Kit/

Fisher and Paykel twin dishdrawer

there is water in the base setting off the flood sensor, you will need to remove the bottom draw and dry the water up with a towel (make sure the power is off and unplug it from the power point) then you will need to do a bit of testing to locate the cause of the leak, if your lucky the leak was caused by incorrect dish stacking or something too big in the draw

How do I reset the f1 flood button . Dd603ss

Not sure if you have managed to fix the F1 problem with your dishdrawer. This is a common problem and occurs mainly due to water leaking into the base of the dishdrawer under the bottom drawer.
But if it is occuring only in one drawer then the power filter at the base of dishdrawer is faulty and needs replacement.

Otherwise make sure the mains power to dishdrawer is turned off. Pull out the bottom drawer and stack in some towels behind it if you can to remove the moisture sitting on the base. The flood switch is located there. Then take a hair dryer and run it down behind the drawer to dry things. Push drawer back and turn power back on. Now if you cannot reach the back of the drawer then you will have to pull the drawer out from its rail. Refer the installation manual for this. See link page 7.

Keep blowing fuses

This means there is water collected on the base of the dishwasher cabinet under the bottom drawer. You will need to disconnect the dishwasher mains plug and take the bottom drawer out to dry the base out. Follow instructions in this manual (page 7 step 2) to remove the drawer.

Dishdrawers display F1 fault, what do I do?

The flood switch at the base of the dishwasher (under the bottom drawer) has triggered. This means water has collected at the base of the dishwasher housing. This can happen for many reasons, leaking drawer lid seal, broken drain hose, broken water inlet hose, etc.

You will need to find the source of the leak. Also incorrect detergent can cause foaming which triggers the flood switch.
Turn the mains power to dishwasher off and take the cable out of the socket. You will have to find a way to take the bottom drawer out. Usually it needs a plyer to pull out the plastic fasteners one on each side. Slowly take the front cover out and lift the drawer off the rail and bring it out.Make sure the controller or display panel do not fall out. Use masking tape to hold these in place. Leave it on the floor without tugging too much on the cable and hoses. Dry the base with towels and hair dryer. The flood switch is mounted on a circuit board located in the base.

Put everything back and conne power and try again.
Hoses need to be replaced if these are source. Also lid seal can be replaced if this is the cause.
Use recommended detergent. (no power balls) or tablets.
good luck.

Fisher paykel dishwasher not draining well

Check the drain hoses by removing the dishdrawers from the machine and pulling on the hoses. I installed a Fisher Paykel DD602 about a month ago and the bottom drawer was not draining. I removed the drawer and freed up the drain hose and the machine worked fine.
Comment posted on Feb 07, 2009 there should be tabs on the sides of the drawers at the sliders near the front of the machine.
