Not all of the modem has this settings, changing the modulation that your modem is using. You can simply check it from the modem page and look for the advance tab then check for the modulation option then you can select from the modulaiton for adsl stated there. you can choose from adsl, adsl2, adsl 2+ or g.dmt for adsl1. thanks and please rate this post.
check if you have the correct username and password for the ADSL line entered into the router, if its correctly entered then reset the router once it should ideally pich up the ADSL Connection.
If the PPP LED is flashing all the time then you have not got a connection to your ISP's server.
Have you contacted your ISP?
The ISP can test the ADSL connection to the your ADSL2 modem and advise whether it is a fault or not..
If the setup CD is unable to setup your modem/router (it is also called a "gateway") you can do the router configuration via the Web User Interface of the router. you will need ADSL settings such as:
a. Encapsulation mode. (typically PPPoA or PPPoE)
b. Multiplexing: (it can be LLC or VC)
c. Virtual Circuit Range.
d. Username & Password (ADSL UN/PW)
note: All of these ADSL settings should be provided/given to you by your ISP/ADSL provider. You can call your ISP for this settings.
just notify me if you will need further assistance doing this, but first make sure you have all the settings for ADSL.
