My XP 600 Epson printer continues to give me the message that it is out of paper. It is not. I have replaced the paper, made sure it is aligned but still get the message. What do I do?

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue: Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly. Check that the paper is aligned with the guides in the input tray and that it is not too thick or too thin for the printer. Check that the paper sensor is clean. Use a clean, dry cloth to wipe any dust or debris from the sensor. Reset the printer. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for a few minutes, and then plug it back in and turn it on. Try a different paper type or size. If the printer is having trouble detecting a specific type of paper, try using a different type or size to see if the issue persists. Update the printer driver. Make sure that you have the latest driver for your printer installed on your computer. There is a good chance that you have dislodged one of the paper feed sensor arms. These are lightly sprung and can be popped out of their mountings creating further jams and registering continuous paper jams when there is nothing in the paper path. Also it is worth checking to see if any sheets came out ripped or with a segment torn off. These often catch on the paper sensor and can be difficult to see. Try feeding a sheet of reasonably stiff paper back through the tractor roller as this often pushes such obstructions back out of the way.

Do a hard reset of printer to restore to factory defaults.

Best thing to do is shut it down and replace it.

If this message appears when you turn the printer on it will need a repair, this will be down to a sensor fault.
If this message appears when you try to print Check you are using the correct paper type and size settings, on the printer if being used standalone or via the printer driver if using via a computer.
Also try using a different paper type and brand ideally Epson paper as it is an Epson printer. If the fault continues the printer will need a service.
As this printer was released this year you should be covered by some form of warranty, contact Epson for a service.

You can continue to print until a cartridge needs replacement. If an ink cartridge is expended, you see a message on the WorkForce 600 Series LCD screen. You must replace the cartridge to be able to print. Note:
You cannot print or copy when an ink cartridge is expended even if the other cartridges are not expended. Replace any expended cartridges before printing or copying. When an installed ink cartridge is more than six months old, you may need to replace it if your printouts do not look their best, even after cleaning and aligning the print head. Follow the instructions in these sections to check and replace your ink cartridges:
