Check the fans cord. There might be damage to it. Try another outlet it could be the outlet the fan is plugged into. If you see no physical problems with fan. I would enter the serial number in dyson support and see if they will replace the fan. Here is dyson's support page to get started. http://www.dyson.com/support.aspx

If you are referring to the bearing cover on the wheel, this appears to be purely cosmetic. The disc is clipped onto the wheel and can easily be replaced IF you have not broken off the latches.

Dyson stopped working.

Have you tried starting it again? It might have stopped because it overheated and now that it has cooled it should start again. If not, then possibly the power switch or power cord has failed.
